Exactly the grammar is too good for a translator. I've seen friends try to type in German saying that they can speak the language. The awful grammar and poor word order are a give away that they used a translator.

Being Japanese he should have been able to identify that kanji, considering it's a pretty common one, but he was nowhere to be found then...

For the reference, Yuki means snow and is a female name, Yuuki is the male version of the name, though some guys are named Yuki anyway. And yes that picture you guys posted is his picture. One final thought regarding his whole "gay pride" diatribe is that when he used to be my friend and we hung out, he constantly asked me if things "made him look gay" because he didn't want to be a "fag". For the record, I am white and French/American (btw, "Yuuki", the little bit of French you used on this board is wrong and makes no sense so stop trying to think you speak French also because you don't), and I currently live in Tokyo, Japan. I moved here recently after spending the summer here actually getting to know the country and the culture, and you'll never hear me try to speak FOR the Japanese or pretend like I should go on rants about their culture because no matter how long I'm here for, I will never have that right- thinking I do would be arrogant, ignorant, and fucking retarded. I happen to like the country, its culture, the Tokyo community and the opportunities it has offered me, and think it's really sad that someone has taken it upon themselves to pretend to know anything about Japan (when they don't) and then basically proceed to make its people look bad by being an ignorant douche on internet forums. If you really liked Japan, Yuuki, you wouldn't pretend to represent it because you're making everyone hate you by your bigotry and disrespect. You're doing about as much for Japan as Chris Crocker is doing for homosexuality. You think you're promoting it, but all you're doing is making people think you're nuts.

PS: I can type Tokyo in Kanji (東京 ) from my All-American Macbook that I bought in California before I moved to (gasp) Tokyo also. You install Japanese language tools, use Microsoft IME, then type a word with normal letters and it makes it in Japanese for you- hiragana, katakana, or kanji.
