What I've never understood is why is WeirdJPBullshitStar allowed to have a name I cannot read? There should be a rule against that.

Well, I mean, at least use an alphabet most of us are familiar with when choosing a name. It's really not all that much to ask, especially considering that's how it works ingame too.

Well I think it wasn't a problem at first since he "appeared" to be Japanese, but we also never encountered that situation before of needing for a name to be in standard English letters. I do agree though, that for the most part, people should stick to having a name that everyone can read since I know a few people don't have language packs installed and just see ?'s where the characters should be.

This topic has been quite interesting in the way it derailed.

There will always be critiques despite how highly someone or a group looks up to a celebrity, person, game, etc. There are a few options to take when it comes to such events. The method that usually gains more attention is to make weak defenses and attack the side criticizing on some other account. For instance, there was a weak suggestion that people from the Midwest are racist. While there are probably a few people who do fit that stereotype, there are others who do not match such an assumption at all.

There was not much credibility from the poster that he was Japanese. The rebelliousness alone was more American in tone. Anyone that has taken a culture class or anything related to Japanese/Asian culture probably saw that too.

Interesting fact about the Chris Crocker stuff: he added me to his Myspace years ago (before he went totally batshit crazy) and he was actually going by a different last name. At the time, he was pretty normal. So I'm thinking, this Chris Crocker stuff is just a "persona" to gain attention, and isn't really who he is at all. Not that it matters, but you know, since we're talking about people pretending something they're not on the internets.

youtube and myspace has opened a plethora of gateways for attention whores and or drama whores like chris crocker to get the attention they so needily desire, this kid just so happends to have posted the right video at the right time and now everyone in the country knows who he is, not just a handful of myspace whores, crocker has gotten so much attention that even seth green is spoofin him (which is funny as shit btw)

i have to say congrats to chris crocker, he's an idol to attention starved kids everywhere and he hit it big this time, it may not be the attention he wants but coupled with his craving for drama (attention whores usually are drama whores as well) he got exactly what he wanted
 
i have to drive my car almost 22 miles to and from work in the am i drive through some notoriously heavy traffic in Philadelphia then to /sigh new jersey anyways i usually have the local news radio station on for traffic update i nearly crashed my jeep Laredo laughing when the news caster mentioned this video and also said that some TV execs where thinking about giving this fuck knuckle his own reality show:crazy: :shok: :coco: :omg:
