Man, late to the party again.
I figured for a bit that something was up with Bob☆, but could never figure out what. For a bit, I figured it was just a japanese player who'd started posting here, due to his strange style of posting. He started off saying a few things that seemed to honestly come from a japanese perspective, but then that... kinda stopped.

What really struck me as odd was that he never commented on the fact that the person talking to Uzor was using a style of japanese that a friend (linguistics major) told me about a long time ago; It's mostly reserved for anime, yakuza, and preteens too young to know any better/think it makes them look cool.

Honestly, my biggest bet was on Bob☆ just being an annoying kiddie that got kicked off all the japanese boards and was forced to come here. Not too far off, I suppose.

I kinda wanted to call bullcrap myself when he was so offended by the term "JP" and had no damn idea what I was talking about when I mention gender-segregated trains.

They offered it to him because he's popular if you have seen some of the comments he gets. They purposely aim a majority of prime time tv at women now, and most of his positive comments are from women.

In the interview he did with Maury Povich he actually said he was a woman... I'm starting to really question this I don't even know a word off the top of my head besides thing...

I've got to admit, when this thread was in off-topic, I largely ignored it ... I'm well-and-truly tired of Chris Crocker, mainly because I'm convinced that he's an act. The only reason I opened it now was because I was curious to see why it had been moved to the Flameboard.

But ... Holy Shit, did I miss out on some epicness. Ayumi hit 50+ karma faster than anyone I've ever seen, he won this thread so hard. I'd been biting my tongue with Yuumi for quite some time -- whenever anyone started a topic about ANYTHING that was even SLIGHTLY in the vein of good ol' fashioned American ribbing, he had to come along and shit on the picnic.

I chalked it up to Japanese culture-shock at first, so held it in ... when it was revealed that he was even more phony than Chris Croker, I just felt a little worried for pink-haired boy's sanity.

Take some time off from Internet socializing, Mr. Hoshi (that means "star" ... see, you're no the only one with a piss-poor Japanese language education), and seek the counsel of a psychiatrist. You risk pulling the mountain down on yourself wherever you go, otherwise.





Not to derail the derail back to the original topic, of course ... (Crocker's a fake).

Well I'm not "JP" by any means and haven't been living in Japan long at all, but I've yet to hear *anything* about this. Not that I'm doubting its truthfulness, just...haven't heard about it. And I take lots and lots of trains.

Mainly in Tokyo, some cars become "women-only" cars during rush hour, when trains are most crowded. I don't remember where they're located exactly on the train, but from what I remember, they're pink. I have a picture somewhere that I could probably find. The purpose is to help women avoid being groped or sexually harassed on trains, plus some women don't feel comfortable being so squished against other people.

In Tokyo really? :o That is where I live. Shibuya Station is supposed to be the World's Busiest subway station so I wonder if that is the one...I take it quite often during rush hour though and have never seen anything like that.

And yeah, it's freaking crazy. A car will be absolutely 100% completely FULL and people will put their back to the car and BACK UP into it, smooshing everyone in the process. I know that there's a huge deal being made about women being groped in the subways and trains but I've never seen anything like that happen ever, and as a white girl (which is so popular here for reasons I'll never understand since Japanese women are so beautiful) have never experienced any disrespect whatsoever. In America, men look down your shirt. In Japan, men don't even look in your DIRECTION, cause it's rude. Well, the young guys our age do, but not the grown men, or they just "sneak" a peak, mostly at your face.

So as much as I'm sure it's true and all, I've never experienced anything bad...and never seen those cars. Are they really still around? Seems so old fashioned...everyone in the trains is courteous...there is even a special place for older/pregnant women. People will crash into you and not even say sorry trying to get onto the trains, but that's the only thing that's remotely irked me.

Really surprised to hear about this. And of course THEY WOULD be pink, huh? xD I'll try to ask around about this. *_*

Does anyone remember Oddish? I just did a quick search for the old Flameboard thread about him (which he linked me to at the time; I wasn't a member here back then) because I was going to give the link to it on this thread, however, it's gone. I did however find a thread in which a few people were wondering where he had "disappeared" to, along with his other character, Gloomy.

So, for anyone who was wondering where he'd gone to, both Oddish and Gloomy were also played by this "Yuuki" person. The thing is that he never really disappears, he just makes a new alias on message boards as well as a new character, and then proceeds to annoy a whole new set of people. I don't think he pretended to be Japanese back then though, so it would've been nice to chronicle the evolution.

You know, so we could've had something like...next time on Jerry Springer: from angry middle-American white boy to l33t Japanese gamer- 5 easy steps to racial conversion. It would've broken up the monotony of their shows about transexuals. Ironic how talking about a soon-to-be transexual is how this whole thread got started. It has come full circle! :o
