Legalized Weed!

I wonder if Ricky Williams is trying to sign with the Broncos now.

LOL yeah a few of us was reading that at work today... it barely passed though according to our newspaper
Basically its still illegal pretty much just if your caught with an once or less you wont get busted. This is just for Denver and Denver Counties any where outside of that its still illegal to even get caught with it (at least according to our local radio station here :) )

Wow, this thing didn't made any hype to national tv news. I was watching Good Morning America earlier and none of this was mentioned, or at least the voting taking place. :?

:D . But unfortionitly untill it is decriminalized by the federal government, this is no different than the states with medical usage laws. State will look away at the smokers but you know that the feds will crack down harder in this state.

And besides Alaska has almost the same law, but allow up to 4 oz. without penalty.

"Bruce Mirken of the Washington-based Marijuana Policy Project said he hoped the approval will launch a national trend toward legalizing a drug whose enforcement he said causes more problems than it cures."

/preach on
Yes.

Sort of, it allows up to 4oz at home without penalty, which is State Law.
However, if you are found with it outside your home, you are still busted for it.

Thats still fine with me. If I had a QP i would have no reason (other than work) to leave my house.

i love living in denver :D but, its not legal to even smoke. basicly, you can have it, you can look at it, hell, you can even smell it. but if you smoke it and get high, thats a biiiig no no. basicly, it was made to make law enforcement stop with all the busting of pot heads, because really, they dont do much harm. they just sit around doing... well, you know what they do.

Did neone else notice that it says posession but it doesnt say anything about consumption. Does this mean that it is now legal to hold but not use. Just wondering because in both posts they seemed to very careful about saying posession and nothing about if your caught consuming

Are the Taco Bells in Denver doing that badly?

HAHA good times man, many good nights at taco bell after blazin up

Sorry to burst your bubbles, but when I heard about this on the Radio, someone called in and said that Alaska's state laws allow for 4 ounces to Denver's 1 ounc. A shame that federally it's still illegal so if the FBI or any Federal Agent (ex Military Police or other) catch you with any you're toast. =/

Fedral laws take precedents over State laws.

This explains it.

It also notes that there are 11 states have laws legalizing or decriminalizing medical marijuana use and one state limits penalties.

A supreme court ruling on 6/6/2005 does not overturn the laws, but it does allow federal agencies to bring legal action against users of medical marijuana.
