Grabbed this for the PS3 yesterday, and they've managed to improve on almost everything that was great in the lego star wars games.

The create-a-character is easier to use, now there's a ring that shows you exactly what piece you're adjusting, rather than the piece dimly flashing. Some of the weapons are cool, you can choose a bazooka or a scimitar(which you can throw!).

The combat is much more fleshed out. In the first level alone, I did 5 different counters/grapples, from giving them a noogie, to dodging and punching them, to a jump kick with both feet. You can also pick up a fallen enemy's weapon, I grabbed a spear and a crossbow from the dead tribes men at the beginning of Raiders of the lost ark(on the way to the plane).

The puzzles are also a little more thought out, there's more to some of them than just "stand on these buttons." They haven't been seriously mentally challenging(nor should they, with kind of game), but they're just more involved than standing on buttons for everything.

All in all, if you enjoyed the Lego star wars games, you're really going to love this one. I can't wait for lego batman to come out in september.

I'm gonna pick this up soon.

just one word:

wan't.

Another thing I've figured out is that apparently each character can hold one piece of equipment. I've found a wrench I need to fix some machines, and torches used to light explosives; so they've added a new level of depth to exploration and puzzle solving.

edit: make that a shovel too.

Some characters already have this equipment on them, but if they're not in the level, the items will be provided for you to progress.

I'll be picking this up at some point. Lego Star Wars has been a big hit with my sister's kids, and it'll be nice to have something new for them to play. I'm glad to hear they've improved the forumula.

Never played the Star Wars version but I picked this up yesterday. It is pretty interesting and fun. They have some of the Star Wars characters hidden in this game. I found Luke and C3P0. Supposedly finding them all unlocks playable Han.

Yeah, I loved the star wars references. It took me a minute to recognize it was Luke in the second level.

Makes good sense since Lucas/Spielberg worked together so closely on the Indy films.

Club Obi Wan, anyone?

I will probably have to go find a used copy or maybe rent the 2 Star Wars games since this one is actually quite entertaining. I think it kind of loses its replay value once 100% is complete but I don't think I will hit that anytime soon. I have way too many games to play at the moment to finish this right away.
