i don't know if its just me, or if finding a party in Kazham at level 27 is almost impossible now...
i'll sit around for almost 2 hours, and get maybe one person to ask to party, but then they say "nevermind" or i get a party and the party last about 40 minutes and we kill 1 monster... this is just pissing me off, all i want is level 30 for the advance jobs, but at this rate this isn't going to happen anytime soon, i've been level 27 for maybe 2 months now, an i'm quitting the game most likely, because this is just bullshit

or i just suck at this game

I've been trying to get to level 58 for a week now. I think a lot of people were doing finals and the like recently hence the lower population in game. That and it's SUMMER!

Stick at it. If you think level 27 is hard to find pts at then wait till your 45-55, that is hell

Ha Sabs, I've been trying to get to 58 forever too ;-; I wanna wear that sexy greenness...
But I promised Klank I was gonna get him a Haubergeon before he hits 59, and it keeps damn inflating! ><;;
Totally sucks.

(if it wasn't obvious, I'm staticed with him, so if I hit 59, he hits 59.)

Yea, lvlin is a pain in the ass. I am on alot, but rarely for the 5-6 hour stretaches that are mandatory for a lvl 60 job, so I ened up giving up on that job entirely. It sucks when you have to spend like 2+ hours forming a pt and then another hour to GET to the camp because ppl do not know how to get through one god damn zone without dying many many times.

It can get really bad sometimes. I would suggest trying to build your own parties, and going that route.

You seem like you just started this game recently if you haven't gotten any advance jobs yet, do you have an underleveled sub? That might have somethign to do with you not getting any invites.

If you don't know what to do to form a party, no worries, just invite someone, and ask them to help you build a pt because you have never done it before, or send a few people /tells and ask if they would like to help you form a party, let them know you've never done it before and ask for their help/advice.

having leveled sub, and multiple ones is always a great benefit. one thing that i see is not everyone uses a search comment. i don't speak for everyone, but i like to read them when i choose people for a party. and i dunno if it's true anymore, but high ranked people used to be better players. though i bet that's no longer true anymore.

PS. arcane garden's sigs are hilarious!

ditto but level 59.

I get groups the first one i got i get tele run to raboa and i was told nevermind party disbanding.

second one i get invite in jeuno and couldnt get rdm.

being a 62 BRD i still get to pick my parties.... but i never join pickup PT's... i have a lifst of every good player i have ever PTed with... they always get lookd up first when i make my own parties, trust me at your level make a list of people you thought did a very good job at PTing, chances are you can look them up again and ask them for a pt ^^

What job are you? If you're leveling warrior, expect to be waiting a while for invites. If you're leveling whm, then that's just crap, parties will fight over who gets you at that level.

As several people have already said, you can wait for even longer without getting invites at higher levels. The odds of someone just blowing you off or only kiling 1 mob at that level is MUCH lower though.

One thing that I've started doing, since I've been lfg for 6 hours before(not often, but sometimes), is do something else while you're waiting for an invite. I'll play on my PS2, watch tv, do homework, cook some food, or whatever will pass the time while I wait for a party. If you decide to try doing something else, make sure you're near your computer/tv and that you check back relatively often so that you don't miss an invite.

The other thing you could do while looking for a party is fish. I do that while im wating for one and have made a lot of gil that way.

when i was i think 27, it took me a good three days (not hours, days) of seeking for about 6 hours a day to get a party. persist, the jungles are a bitch, but hopefully, thing's will look up for you soon. like others have said, create your own parties if possible

I've had a bitch of a time finding parties lately, so much so that I've taken some terrible ones just to get by--normally I'd rather not level than level with a bunch of fuckwits, but after several days of straight seeking I start going bonkers. I'm not sure if it's my job, or the times I play, or just me or what. There's often not enough people seeking with the right jobs to form a party, either.

I dunno, my FFXI frustration's pretty high lately. :?

Honorable mention to the NIN in my party the other night who rarely used anything other than shihei, ran off to check coffer spots once a key dropped--*twice* (the second time, he found a coffer, openened it, and we all got gil ), once he leveled went afk for like 15 min, even though the WHM had announced she didn't have much time, and as soon as he got his buffer, suddenly remembered he had to go, and left the RDM and WHM at about 1k TNL.
