Lichna and ditching parties

I'd be a sucky at <insert job I PL'd myself on> if I didn't care about my job, didn't research my job, didn't buy the gear for my job or didn't like the job.

However, these aren't traits that I possess.
 
What level do you stop PLing at? At what point do you actually decide to play your job without a PL? 35?

You can easily go to 45 with a PL, however I believe at 50+ you risk getting your PL hit with a few too many Pecking Flurries to be worthwhile.

too weak! lol, I won't reveal the secret, but its easy to get over 10k/hr soloing and duoing PL'ing yourself, at any level, with any job except mages >.> Even at 50+

Besides, Pecking Flurry from Lesser Colibri hits me on my WHM for less then 50 <.<

If this is your strategy, enjoy taking the easy road. It'll take you far. I can see using a PL until the late 20's early 30's at most. After that point, I don't see why you'd even bother continuing to play the game. Level grinding isn't everything, but it is something. You're not going to admit it because you'll never know, but compared to another person of the same job class who took his job to 75 without PLing to 45 or 50, you're going to be a shitty player in comparrison. Guaranteed.

It's the same level of quality difference you'll get when you put one player who actually knows how to solo worth a damn and put him next to another person of the same job who hasn't even tried it. If you haven't experienced the different aspects of the job, you won't master it. Period. Argue against that point. You'll be wrong, but go ahead.

45 or 50... No, that's just lazy.

That's the same kinda logic that says someone who gets 75 in 2 months is gonna be worse than someone who took 12 months.

The speed someone levels at doesn't say anything about the player. The only thing I see leveling to 75 in a month says about a player is that they have access to an account which they can PL themselves on/be PL'd by.

There's a lot more to the game than easy exp, or having a million 75s, or how much lolrelic armor you have.

Enjoy your PL though. You might as well be playing WoW.
 
I aparently started being a prick when I got access to an account I can PL myself on...

There might well be a lot more to this game than easy exp, or having a million 75s, or how much lolrelic armor I have, however, most of the game is closed off to you if you don't have a level 75 job.

However, I don't think that has anything to do with PLing yourself.

It's not having a PL, but relying on one. And making fun of other people who don't feel like it's fun to have one.
 
Point out where I said I relied on a PL to get EXP. I said I have access to one, not I use one every time I level a job.

And I never poked fun out of anyone for not having a PL.
 
I just like to add if any 1 can get me my account back all gladly play again but since medicinman dont answer me any more guess wont be possible and by the way medicinman and lichna on 2 seperated account
 
If a party doesnt need a PL then having one is generally pointless for the overall exp rate.
If the party does need a PL then they dont deserve to get the exp together anyway.
Not only that but how the hell is a whm or rdm suppose to learn how to be an effective healer when a pl is spamming cure3-5 before you can even target the tank or select the appropriate cure macro? Why should somone wait till lv 30, 40, apparently even 50 to be able to learn how to do the things thier job entails? Why should they even take the job that far when their whole experience with the job is to sit there and be bored as hell?

Why should tanks be shouted at by thier parties for voking?
Why should people in ridiculously subpar gear get a free pass towards semi decent exp that they wouldnt stand a chance against without the PL?

No I agree with you Pakomen. PLing is the cheapest way to level. Have I used it before? Yes, but damn if I didn't at least try to still do my jobs with them around. Usually if I level something and there is even a hint of PL I say fuck you bye now.

My thoughts on PLing. In certain instances i can understand PLing. No healers on to exp with would be one. I have seen people with PL's as high as 55. In the dunes I find it more important for players to learn their jobs than to get a ton of exp per hour.
For players that ditch not long after getting into a party blacklist them if they bother you that much. Last players i had do that in the dunes pulled it at 60 on the 3rd pull. So it is probably a good idea to black list them. Thanks for the warning on this player.
