For example when I was leveling Paladin in the 50s slightly over a year ago I had Skylarr in my party on her/his DRG. S/he had just gotten Penta Thrust, and refused to use anything different. I want to say the SC partner was a Samurai so distortion could have been made. I know for a fact we had a BLM so a MB was possible. S/he kicked me for the party for me trying to tell her to SC, but she would only do Double Thrust every once in a blue moon with out even telling the SAM to go while s/he still focusing on the weaker Penta Thrust.

Lol oh Romperstomper... Yes i will admit i preferred doing Penta Thrust because at the time i was a noob. Some may arguably say i still am. But i'd like to point out that my dmg with penta thrust was quite high. Again i realise now that it could have been higher.

HOWEVER i kicked you out of the party (or you left possibly?) because you seemed to have considerable difficulty finding your provoke macro, if you realised what it was. Also, 4/6 member's were sending me /tell's complaining about your attitude and how you were telling them all what to do when you couldn't even play your job well. I even had people threatening to leave, and when you did finally leave the PT greatly improved.

No no your penta thrust was considerably weak. I got a bad attitude because you wouldn't stick to the SC. I was also provoking just fine I don't know what you're talking about there kid. The only time I was losing hate was when I was petrified from the antican, or was silenced then couldn't cure/flash. I kept defender up, used my job abilities when needed, shield capped, and even at the time my parrying was capped.

sand trap erases all hate, just so you know. but dam yeah its rompers fault for having 30 sec timer for his voke.

seriously shit romper get your act together h34r: you use voke and the antican uses sandtrap strait after... your suppose to break the game physics, reset your voke timer to 0 set your tp to 300 and ws atral flow rages... geez noob >.> j/k

Like omg you're so right. How could I forget that I hax I have that allows me to provoke and flash whenever I so want to even with silence on. I just wish I could have learned how to configure the hack for cures, but never could break it. /end sarcasm

You're not gonna believe what i say, but you were a suck-ass PLD. Love how you don't mention that you were telling everyone else what to do, because you were. I saw it and so did everyone else in the PT, who were sending me tells complaining about you and your attitude. Hate is easily controlled there i think you'll find. BLM51 now and my recent PLD's held hate 99% of the time. So, it may be reset or w/e but the PLD's i have CAN keep hate.

Skylarr refer to this post. Sand trap erases hate I was keeping hate until sand trap happened. Not to forget the 30 second down time on provoke (45 for Flash) then having to wait for petrification to wear. If you didn't know this already sand trap lasts longer on the person the Antican performs the move on. Then there were the times when I was getting silenced, and had to ask for silena because the white mage wasn't paying much attention. Guess what? With silence on I couldn't cast spells to A) Flash and B) Cure myself. You know ways that a Paladin sort of gets and keeps hate. The mob didn't bounce off of me unless I was petrified, or Xynin actually got to burst freeze.

The black mage couldn't magic burst because you weren't SC. I was only telling you what to do because you were doing whatever you wanted giving Dragoons a bad name. You can say I am a shitty Paladin all you want because in truth you fucking sucked. I said possible SC then you got Penta Thrust went off on your own tangent. You were gimping the chains because you weren't listening and did whatever you wanted to do. Let me tell you something that you probably still don't even know a black mage can spike damage a lot with one spell if there is a skill chain which is something that you never did.

Are you MBing Freeze? If you are then I laugh at you because you only create more down time by brusting Freeze. I let Xynin (Yes I remember exactly who the black mage was) freeze magic burst when he could because he requested to try it. I laughed, and said go for it.

What level do you stop PLing at? At what point do you actually decide to play your job without a PL? 35?

Level 45. Though, I'm much like you in the regards of time available to play; or like you were when you still played. However, I PL and I get PL'd. I don't care about it when I have competant, older players in the party. However, I'm also not about to drag a newbie, who won't listen to advice, any further than the level he is at. I will just as quickly tell him he is not welcome in my party if he does not play the job correctly, drop him, and find someone else. Then again, 95% of my parties are strictly with people off of my friends list.

I forgot to say this is pre-sentinel being awesome. Sentinel back then did shit, and was a useless job ability.

/welcome to the dunes. I've had people take there time taking the ship ....walking to the dunes...we wipe on first mob...the person disband and log off. So I'd rather they atleast lvl a little then await 40mins cuz that lvl range is dead that anything at all. Yet it still is pretty dumb to just leave I usually give about 15-30min warning.

It wasn't rompers', it was the RDM and the WHM's fault, for not casting Haste so he can VOKE MORE OFTEN.

That too can add to be a problem from time to time, but that wasn't the problem of that specific party. It was an uncooperative party leader that only wanted to skill chain when she felt like it. Thus our kills were slowed down because we saw no magic burst out of Xynin's awesome black mage.
