Never thought I'd post anything in the flameboard. This will probably be a lame flame but I don't care, do with the information what you will.

I'm tired of having my Limbus shell's zones hijacked. We did our best as a community to make things go smoothly back when it was just us on Midgard. We used a simple queuing system, whoever was there first, got the zone, others could choose to wait in line or find another zone. But now that we have to share a server with these Quetz people, some assholes don't feel like they should play nice. They just jump ahead in line and take the zone we were waiting for. Some are from Quetz, and yes, some are from Midgard and have been doing it for years. It's annoying. They say that it's not against the rules, that they're not doing anything wrong, that the rest of us who are trying to make things less chaotic are crying over nothing. That's fine.

There's another thing that's not against the terms of service: the blacklist. If someone cuts in line, and your limbus zone gets jacked, do a search and list the people who snatched it. It doesn't matter if they even realize that they stepped out of line, just post their names on here. It's not against the rules to grab a limbus zone that others were waiting for, but it's not against the rules to shun those that do either. As a community, QCDN members can make a lot of difference if all of a sudden half the server refuses to exp with a given person or people. Or not, the only one I can control is myself.

So many things wrong with this post and the way you worded it, given your normal beliefs. >.>

I fail to see the point of recreating a post verbatim to a previous flame you didn't agree with. One hundred percent just don't see the point. Is this an actual issue? I can't take you seriously since it is just a mock "Dynamis Antics". Frankly, if you don't agree with a flame and have stated your point over and over.. and over.. and over.. and people still aren't agreeing with you, my best advice is to get over it. You're obviously letting an online issue you weren't even involved in get to you if you can't leave it alone and then further 'beat a dead horse' by posting an entirely new flame with no relative point. If this is an actual issue, there were several better ways you could have gone about handling the issue aside from this.

I'm so tired, oh so tired, of the segregation both sides are placing on the server. Get the fuck over it, all of you.

Maybe it's time to start a limbus scheduling forum, if there isn't one already. It won't completely solve the problem, but it may take it down a few notches.

I know, but the irony is delicious.

To Kari,

Yes, it is an actual issue. Just happened again last night actually. Another shell arrived and grabbed the zone we were waiting in line for before we could enter.

But before anyone else gets their panties in a twist, this post was obviously made in jest, to illustrate a point. That point being that, if I wanted to (and I don't because it's stupid), I could made the same damn argument the other way around. "The Midgard system worked, but these damn Quetz people refuse to use it." See the irony?

But contrary to my obviously parodic post, I don't segregate. And I think that the people that have been doing that all along (as you said, from BOTH sides) are the ones causing the problems. If any of you on here (that have since decided you hate me) actually knew me in real life, you'd know (as Ghost and others do), that I am one of the most fair-minded, non-biased people you could ever meet. My fault lies in the fact that I foolishly expect others to be the same way.

I only made this post because when this happened to us last night, I laughed at how amazingly ironic it was that a system that we had precious little trouble with on Midgard no longer works here. Do I really blame this on Quetz people? Of course not. It's simply a repercussion of the fact that there are twice as many shells now, and zones are crowded during prime times. The people that jumped in front of us and took the zone could have actually been Midgard natives for all I know. But it doesn't matter where they were from. And while I'm pretty sure they knew we were there waiting for the same zone, I have no intention of actually posting names, because I don't which one of them actually grabbed the zone, and I don't care. It happens.

I'm sorry if my beating a dead horse has you all upset. If you don't like repetition, don't go past about page 3 of the other thread. I was born with an overwhelming desire to attempt understand other points of view (even if I don't agree with them), and in turn to get others to understand mine (even if they don't agree with them). I tend to go overboard when I find people that are incapable of that, and drag things out ad nauseam.

I'm really not upset in the slightest, in the grand scheme of things don't honestly give a flying crap who people want to blacklist and who they don't. I'm simply amazed at how incapable so many people are of seeing the bigger picture, and getting past their narrow-minded attitudes.

I wasn't even going to bother coming back on here, but after last night, I couldn't resist posting this. Sorry if the amusement of the situation was lost on the people here.

Kidding aside, if you did, I'm pretty sure my shell leader would use it. I'd focus on getting people to used to the idea of using your Dynamis one first though.

I think you pose an argument that paints you in a very positive light, however, don't assume your passive aggressiveness is lost on me. Since it's an actual issue a better way to have handled it would have been to post on the general discussion that you had this system set up on Midgar and would like to implement it here, especially since you have been as active as you have in the QCDN forums prior/since server merge. This is pretty much your logic, as I see it:

You had a system, you moved to a different server that wasn't aware of said system, you didn't offer up the system to be implemented, your system doesn't get used (wonder why), and you flame about it in a parody to a flame you didn't agree with.

Oh.. I see the hilarious joking irony of the post mocking the Dynamis Antics situation you didn't agree with. Wait, what? How can you flame something that no one was aware of? I'm sorry, but your humor confounds me. That doesn't sound very fair minded and un-baised to me. If you did try to get it implemented, well, then I could see a point to posting a grip about it. But the method you are attempting is just proceeding to paint a negative picture of yourself. I'm sure you're a nice guy but for people who don't know you or your sense of humor, I think you're digging a hole you aren't meaning to and setting up a bad first impression. :(

I was quite serious.

How can you flame something that no one was aware of?
The same way people can blist players that could potentially not be aware of the scheduling system. You can't. Or more correctly, you shouldn't.

And I think you may still be missing the point. While the situation was real, my flame was fake -- a parody. I wouldn't expect people to know about the "system" on Midgard, as it was by no means official, and wasn't even a system. It was just the way it worked. Common courtesy was the "system", but it's a system that would most likely not work now, simply because there are just too many people here post-merge. And with the impending level cap increase, Limbus zones (and Dynamis too for that matter) are going to get more and more crowded because they will be clearable with fewer and fewer people (unless they cap the events at 75).

Sarcasm and facetiousness aside, I do think attempting a Limbus schedule system might help.

I'm sure you're a nice guy but for people who don't know you or your sense of humor, I think you're digging a hole you aren't meaning to and setting up a bad first impression. :(
The other thing my friends would tell you about me is that I will speak my mind at the drop of a hat, and pay no heed to what people might think of me because of it.

I do this IRL. It usually cracks my friends up, and they always know where to go for an honest opinion. Glad to meet someone else who does it too :D

I will admit to having a very limited number of friends because of it. :P

Sorry Quetz has a system for limbus as well, get used to it. Or don't since you all can't play fair w/ the dynamis system... oh see what I did there?

You know it bugs me when my Limbus group gets all ready and up to the zone only to find some bloody Blm is just in there soloing the zone, time is precious enough in this game without some smart alec messing it up for others.

This.
The shell I go with runs on one of the busiest times in the EU window, there's always 3 or 4 linkshells running at the same time we are.
I don't give a shit about a group taking a zone that my group may need, it's first come first served.
We can wait for them to clear or pick another zone and build a second or third pop for O/U if we don't have the time to wait.
It's not like Dynamis where you have to move half the world away to do another zone.

But a couple of fucktards solo or duo, keeping a zone occupied for 2 and a half hours during these times, then I get kind of pissed off about it.
Those 'cool' enough to solo or duo a zone, good for you, but pick a time where there aren't 3 or 4 linkshells with 2 groups each farming to go just because you're greedy for some coins.

Wouldn't be more easier just to talk to other leaders that run on the same time for now? We did that in Reliance and we were fine. Mind you, other leaders were open and good people. We had our share of "almighty destroyer of the world" soloing the zone too but it's fair game. Even back then I was wondering why we didn't have any sort of limbus scheduling going around. The only flaw in your endeavor is that douchebags will still be douchebags at the end of the day. Other people will enjoy the idea I think though.

I sense someone's gonna be in for a major dissapointment when the level cap is raised to 99...

I said I don't mind people soloing limbus, but they better do it when there aren't 3 or more groups waiting to enter.
It's not hard to figure out people might be wanting to build Omega and Ultima pops when you see 20+ people gathered at Sagheera.

This is what i expected, a mockery of the dynamis thread.

The people that abide by a system that has been proven to work thought years of application have every right and reason to be pissed off at those that thumb their noses at it. They, for whatever reason, get their jollies by fucking over a group of people just because they can. i see no reason to not blackball/list any of those cretins. Their reputation is no one's fault but theirs and they get whatever ill treatment they receive. They wanna shake it off, show some backbone and stand up to the jackasses that lead your shell and say you aren't going to run with a shell of scumbags.

This thread should be locked or merged with the dynamis one.

Did you actually have a system for Limbus on Midgard, Divinius? If so, I think it's still a good idea. Bring it over; same frustration in having a zone jacked, whether it's Limbus, Dynamis, or Einherjar.
