I've mentioned this before; maybe you have too. I don't know for sure. I love gearing up and helping others. Why is it so hard to get any LS to help. I need to get onto a LS that LIKES (actually "Gets off") on helping others.

My current dilema and frustration is the many many many /shouts and opportunities to go and kill Dark Spark. I'd love to send the shouter a /tell. "Hey, I see you need help killing Dark Spark. Well I need to kill him too and can help you out at the same time." Unfortunately, I sent the following /tell. "My worthless LS won't help me get my coffer so I can't go with you."

I will leave out all names and the name of the shell. I've asked them to help me open the coffer in Kuftal Tunnel for my "hands". There were multiple level 60+ 68's and a few 70's. All were scared to go. They said they even get aggro'd there. I understand; sort of. However, they have enough nerve to ask me to help them in (Beaudeax) for thier coffer. ><
Hey, if they won't create an alliance and go with me go open a coffer, why would I agree to help them with theirs? (I think the guy who needed the coffer was wanting G3 or something)


......by the way that's ANOTHER Pearl tossed from my inventory. I may go through about 20 more before finding one that really helps and means it.....


I don't expect to make a request and have everyone drop what they are doing just to cater to me, but I've made this request in LS many times and over a period of time. Then another member has a similar request and they all stop to help. THEN, they go off to kill dark spark. ><

I sincerely have to disagree with the both of you about how easy Kuftal Tunnel's coffer is. I believe you may have been concentrating on the ease to get the Key only.

In "Phraust's free help" it says key= charge coffer finding = charge.
but was indirectly turned down because "It's too easy." ....again, not a flame to you two but I have to say that you are definately wrong; at least according to my personal experience in the matter.
It's not easy and even multiple lvl 70's won't go.... (maybe those two were pusses though (the 70 guys)).


I'm not trying to sugar-coat this flame, but I stand by my word that I like to help so if a lvl54 can assist you in something, send me a /tell. Maybe I can turn this into something good. I still don't get my AF gloves, but maybe I can help you with something.
 
I was going to say something like, well have you ever made an effort to help the other people in your linkshell, but it seems that you have.

We help each other a LOT in our linkshell, though there are some people that i refuse to help, and those people are the people who ask for help and don't ever offer to help anyone else. Maybe your linkshell feels this way about you.
 
That is the reason I love my LS, odds are is that if you are fairly active you can easily get coffer help and crap.
 
What I am choosing to do is lvl a mage job to 25 so i have sneak and invis. This allows me not to rely on somone else after i get my key.

I have a question, do you already have a key to the coffer and just need the chest, or do you need the key as well?

A lot of people consider the kuftal coffer easy just because you get keys off the exp mobs there from 51-56. I've had several keys before, and I'm sure others have too.

I've found the coffer there a couple times during exp parties, one time I even had my key so I got a map of the place. Some of the spawn points suck, but all you need is sneak and you can explore most of the area, so those 70's were just wimps. One option if you have the key already is to just camp 1 coffer spot until it pops, someone told me the coffers move if no one opens them within a given time.

Oh, and by the title of your thread, I thought that you were actually going to list some linkshells that sucked, but I understand you keeping their name out of the thread now.
 
most coffer you wont need any help on, you can go online and get the maps that show the coffer pops. you can use that map as a guide when you zone in. kuftal only has about 6 places where the coffer is, i went with a stack of sneak and a stack of inv, looked on the map and went. a few min later i found my coffer and got my gloves. there are only a handfull that you will need help finding the coffers with, and sam only has temp of ugg.(that one is going to be a bitch). the only coffers i help find for my ls is eldieme and garlaige. the rest are easily soloable if you get a map online.
 
All the coffer locations are easily found on the first floor with the crabs, cactuars, worms and haunts. Never will you have to go down where the raptors and goblins are. All you pretty much need is a stack of sneak oils, print out the coffer spawn locations, and run around til you get it. I did the same thing when I was 56 to get my Challenge to the Royal Knights for my AF3.

Sorry to say, but Kuftal Tunnel IS easy. Go on line, print out a map of all coffer spawns, drag yourself to Kuftal Tunnel and make a round. By round, I mean, there is a natural circuit that all the coffer spawns are on. No need for escape. No need for Teleport-Altep. Bring a few stacks of oils or sub whm. Be careful of elementals if you sub whm. There really isn't a need to have people go with you. If you were looking for the key, that would be different.
 
Like I said before. I never said No to begin with. I informed you you were on a list, and it would be best to attain your key throu EXPing there. The next day You said to cancel your request for help. then you got really pissed at me when I did. Maybe I didn't make it clear but I Do Not find coffers, only Keys.

Besides that there is a Wait list for help. And Most of the people on it I cannot get a hold of, or got thier keys already and have not told me. In thier abscense I have attained Keys. I was going to get your key several times. But it seems like every time I would like to help you you are busy biting my hand and spitting in my face. If this is how you act in a linkshell there is no doubt you will find trouble getting help...

Just relax. Grab some sneak oils and Powders, and wander around until you get your coffer like the rest of us did. I don't know I found shit like that one of th emore rewarding parts of the game. But... I will not do it for people, otherwise 'Free Help' Turns into a costly indeavor for me. And I would rather be doing something that actually requires my skills, like killing shit, that other players cannot do on thier own.
 
Kuftan Tunnel: EXP ZONE. Tell your party you want to exp there!!! I've tossed more keys than I can count .... its EASY!!!
 
Kuftal coffer is the coffer I run by everytime I go to valley of sorrows and bitch cause I left my key in my mogsafe right? That is an easy fucken coffer.
 
There are 3 coffer spawns practicaly right in the door. Have you even checked? Last time I went on a key dumping run, this was by far the easiest. Walked in applied sneak, turn left, coffer.

If you walk in there maybe.........2 days in a row (random number) it will probably be there for you.

I apologize if I leave anyone out. I'll try to explain better regarding my problems with Kuftal.



I got my key xp-ing there. That was definately easy. I bought a stack of oils and powders. Armed with a print-out of the coffer spawns, I sneak/invis'd all over the place frantically spamming my TAB key while in coffer areas. I continued this until I ran out of consumables. I was on my way out and on my last sneak/invis.

That was my second death for this one.

Something that bothers me is I like helping but am only 54 ATM.

I can help with things like rank 4-? and magicite, kazham keys, etc. but
nothing too huge yet. I'll get there sometime. Send me a /tell if you need anything.

Is this thread about koffer keys, or poor linkshells? :roll:

I can't say what other linkshells are like but Big Fun has given me all the assistance I've ever asked for, and a whole lot more that I didn't ask for.

Duffman, don't be a cock because people refused to help you with the easiest coffer to find. Just because you didn't know all you needed was sneak doesn't mean every fucking person who set foot in there and isn't making their very first trip through doesn't know.

Something else you brought up really bugs me.... You are level 54, you don't need your shit the moment you can wear it. I don't think I ever got a peice of AF the same level I could use it. (or even within 2 levels of being able to use it) You give everyone this " I get no help attitude, then try and rip into anyone who trys to explain that you really don't need it?

Excuse us for giving you the benefit of the doubt that you aren't completely retarded! Why did you wander around the whole fucking zone when there are 3 spawns right at the entrance to the damn place? You said you had a map of spawn points with you, can't be that hard to log in before work, poke your head in, check if it's there, log out, go to work, come back log in, check again....repeat process every night.
