I was at Bastok's AH last night when all of a sudden the trees and decorations starting appearing. The fountain by teh way looks amazing!!!

I san around looking and decorations, taking some pics and looking for moogle. Did not found any. I still have no clue on what will happen.

From the list of new items, I think if you get a Christmas tree to put in your Moghouse, you might find a present somehow under it... not sure tho, still looking! :)

As the hubbub from the Harvest Festival died down, the inhabitants of each town called upon holiday tree craftsmen and began preparing for the "Starlight Celebration."

The Starlight Celebration is an event in which the night sky is mirrored by vividly decorated trees and strings of brilliant lights. It is also a time for handing out presents to children and experiencing the joy of giving.

The three regions are striving to see who can make the biggest and brightest festival of all. However, not everything is ready. The Starlight Celebration cannot begin without you there to enjoy it!

Bring your companions and behold the spectacle of gloriously decorated trees illuminating the night! Find a comfortable spot beneath the glittering boughs and revel in the wonder of the Starlight Celebration.

Maybe the event isn't in full swing yet....like only the decorations are out but none of the NPCs....just a thought
 
I'm kinda finding the holiday events to be depressing now.

I mean I've seen them before!! It'll be awesome if they actually add new content like hats and trees to this years Christmas event.

Fave event so far is still the Adventurer Appreciation week....that was so awesome!
 
Hhahhaha They (Squeenix) always seems to give few days of what I like to call "Hype-time" in which everyone and their mother runs around asking about wtf is going on....then a few days later we all know and feel stupid for running around.

P.S.
If anyone would like to run around like a jackass with me, I should be in Bastok once I get off work.

For some reason, I checked really quickly at FFX1, and quite a few players were using Fireworks (like chain using them), with none left for sale at AH (Bastok).

Gosh I hope this involves fireworks, finally might make some money!!! lol

I agree Sabia... Ta' hell with those damn kids! What is the "Quest" this time? Spend millions of gil on gifts to get crap that doesn't work? LOL...

Sabia, I think your wish was granted, check the list of items I posted below. Tehre is new furniture, like Bastokan Tree or someting..... gotta be a christmas tree!
 
Ok, well another of the item posted in the list is called a Kiddie Present and the decription says Quickest way to get to a child'S heart, or something like that.

My guess is we'll have to somehow get this presents from somewhere and trade them to kids!

Still hopes it involves fireworks! ;p
 
BLARG!!! It better not be like that stupid Halloween event, that was just duck dong.

This being why Adventurer Appreciation Week was my fave...you just had to talk to the Moogles and they would give you free shit. Adventurer certificates, moogle belts, Fireworks - no money involved. Not to mention hearing all the rad stats about your character...

I also liked the first half of summerfest, getting together with strangers to run around crazy places was a blast!!.

I don't think events should be for rich peeps only.
 
Hey hey, you all read that list of new items? Good now you know my "Santa's Wish list" for christmas. Hop to it! I expect a lot of presents at my mog house this year,heh heh.

Some nice stuff, looks like christmas this year for once will be nice. First christmas they didn't do anything but hang up decorations. A christmas tree and some presents, santa hats and stuff? Yes please!
 
That's not true, they had bitchin fireworks last year!

They gobbo santa air rider was awesome!! I still have one in storage for a keepsake.

I cant wait to figure out how to start getting this stuff. The events are fun, though the Harvest event was a bit......pricey. And I didnt get anything useful out of it, besides a level 1 trick staff that didnt do anything, and I spent nearly 20k on treats and the like. Oh well though! The reward isnt the only reason. Participation is fun. Still....
