Some of the recent conversations on what happened to the flameboard had me looking through some of my old rate-ups, and I came across this one.
Lemme recap the origin of this thread for those who haven't been following the issue.
So Abdelbaset al-Megrahi, the man convicted of the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, was released by the Scots a little over two years ago on "compassionate grounds", supposedly because he had prostate cancer and two months to live.
And honestly, it had absolutely nothing to do with a subsequent oil deal between Libya and BP. Honest.
And here we are, more-or-less two years after Abdelbaset al-Megrahi was supposed to have died an agonizing death from cancer gleefully close to his penis... And yet...
"What?!", you say, "he's not dead?!"
Nope.
Though it does seem that every time someone asks him how long he has left, it's about two months. And it also seems that the new regime in Libya doesn't give two shits if he gets extradited to the United States so we can (I hope I hope I hope) dump his cancerous ass into general population and let nature take its course.
