Locking Threads

is it right to lock a thread When u are trying to show the community here in "General Discussion" about other topic's that they might miss if they don't look around and come here frist?

Um no, the Off-Topic board exists for a reason, for off-topic posts. There's no point in having a post here to point to a post there. That's just silly. I'm sure everyone is capable of checking all the boards themselves.
