Well my offer remains. I think you should consider it. You wiped anyway so those seals are gone. We get Kirin, you get a couple BLMs helping you out for free. Everyone wins. If you ask me, it's better than the solution of us having just let Kirin depop. Make sure the god is killed and sort it all out later, that's my basic philosophy. Unfortunately there can be no sorting out when people are swearing at each other and sending threats.

might not do awsome dmg since im 72 atm but i love to kill kirin <3
 
after that rng nerf patch... yes, valkyrs did have an incident of having 2 SMN's up with Kirin going crazy. but after 2 hours... kirin did die by the hands of valkyrs.

Did you guys wipe in the process Ultraseven? Or did you just have 2 summons out. Because if you weren't there you must realize. They had 2 summons out, a summon left to come and they were by both side's agreement, wiped. They had maybe 7 guys alive, 2 with raise effects, some afk... they were going down. The question is, would it have been possible to recover from a total wipe with that...?
 
yes fire, we did wipe with a few ppl that were capable of casting raise 1 only... it did take a while for us to recover, but kirin was running unclaimed... we were more focused taking down those SMNs first... but yes, long fight, but kirin went down eventually. everyone lost a lot of exp that day, but... we came together as a whole and came up on top.

i would have been really disappointed if another LS was there that day... saw OUR kirin unclaimed while we were recovering... and claim it for their own and reap the benefits of our hard work.
 
come on guys... haven't we all... during one point in time in our ffxi lives... partied with each other along our paths... to come to this point and screw that very person you had laughs with a long time ago?

My point wasn't that it was right or wrong. I tend to think wrong, but JUST barely considering they were going to lose the spawn entirely if someone else didn't take it.

My point was that you seem to think that the JP's don't do this, and that you think incorrectly.

Wallet is a bad anology, because if we didn't take kirin, it'd disapear and bol could never get their items. Actually fighting kirin and handing over the items to bol isn't like picking up a wallet and giving it to the owner, we had to take alot of R1's alot of our time, and quite frankly alot of stress to get through the gods, sure giving them something would of probably been a good idea, but in the same token they were trying to cfh on kirin the whole fight, their mentality was if they can't have it, no one can. Our mentality of "It's our now" may not of been the best, but it's a damn good counter to theirs.

Was there some greed involved? yes, but we didn't steal it.

why is it a bad analogy? so what if bol could never get their items? it's their kirin. just like if you would have taken the wallet and taken all the money inside. what now, you're going to give them the osode and pole now?
so i'm sure all your greedy NA would just as well not return someone's wallet without ransacking it of the money first. nice country we live in.

Well as I wasn't there until after the switch, I can't comment on what I saw myself, but I can say from the pics like this I've seen here, the corpses seem to be in the middle based on these pillars. Now I can imagine a recovery that would go something alone the line of slowly sending out a guy to claim Kirin and try to die somewhere safe while pulling out a majority of recoverable alliance, but what we have here are unconscious people who cannot be raised without aggroing Kirin. There were going to be 3 other gods, not 2, because they only killed 1 before the wipe. To say this could have been one is far fetched at best.

obviously... you need to know how long it would take before kirin despawns. they just wiped... and i honestly don't think they were given enough time to recover.

besides... kirin is a forceable pop. what's theirs is theirs. if they prefer to have their kirin despawn, then let them have their kirin despawn.

and why would letting kirin depop be bad? it's their loss, not yours. OH didn't even have to get involved in any way. alas, greed takes over, they receive an osode and whatever else coming their way.
