lolDynamis won their first ever Dynamis - Buburimu tonight, and we went straight for the Efts after the boss kill. And on the third or fourth kill, Valor Cape drops. I'm already excited, despite the fact I have 4 counterlotters, but after it's all said and done, I win with an 872! ^_^ Congrats to Sbec also for Sorcerer's Gloves -1. Screenshots to come when I find someone who's not on PS2. Yay for me! Am I like, the only Taru PLD with this thing? lol.

Funny story. My PLD is 70, which is the same level the cape is. All four of my counterlotters were 75, lol.

Your luck on drops is rediculous to the point of insanity :/
 
What, just because every time I got a northlands piece, I got the other within a week on three separate jobs? And that I got Valor Cape two days after I hit 70? I don't see what the problem is. And I have to pass up four guys for Valor Surcoat, so don't get your tonban in a bunch just yet. =P

Now that I'm gone, Gali's the only one of the first four BLMs left, and unless he's stopped attending runs since I quit, I don't think anyone can argue he hasn't earned his shit :P

and not like you have any competition for that hat for a while. I think you'll get it before Gali gets his Surcoat at least lol

This is a question for more endgame-ish plds, but is the Enmity and the Vit really worth the loss of HP vs the gigant mantel?

HP isn't important when you have 20~30 blood thirsty melee just dying to steal hate, like in Dynamis.

lol, that's my joke, if he can move up that list and get a 4th Xarc piece (3rd since I've been around), then I'd have to go out to where Gali lives and congratulate him personally, and hope that some of his luck rubs off on me XD

And I never said what he's got wasn't earned, I'm just fiercely jealous of his luck of the SE Drop-Gods smiling upon him.

And lotting a 58 on the -1 hands vs Xynin and Sbec made me a sad-panda (congratz to Sbec on those btw)
 
I think the loss of 40 HP from Gigant is worth it for the VIT+6 and Enmity+3 of Valor, lol. Despite being taru and sucking for HP, I could always merit HP 4 times or something to make up the difference. Btw thanks to all who have thanked me. *Taru Dance*

It's a known fact tier 1 only exists for other people.
 
Yeah, the VIT and enmity are definitely worth it over the Gigant Mantle, especially in a kiting situation. If I ever were to get a Valor Mantle, I'd sell my Gigant, since all I use it for is kiting. I'd still probably go with Shadow Mantle on a straight-tank setup though.
