So I was @ the mall today looking for something and playing some DDR, i took my watch off while i was playing it and this nig-ger noticed it. He saw me get it when i left and stalked me through the whole mall. I noticed him he thought i didint and when i got to my car he tried to sucker punch me and knock me out but i saw him through a car mirror i turned around dodged it punched him in the nose, broke it knocked him out and turned my car and left. (A punch using my whole weight as force yeah 260lbs must be hard)

Haha, yeah those are great. I can't count the times people try to rob me without a weapon. Generally they back away when I start to take my jacket off ready for the fight. Like hell I'm going to back down without a fight, you gotta earn your money, even if you're stealing it.

are you the one they call MacGyver?

Buy one, lean to use it, carry it with you
too many crackheads and wannabe gangstas out there today to be fucking around

When I worked at a convince store I was refusing to sell someone cigs because he couldn't produce ID when he said "If you don't sell me those fucking Newports ima bust a cap in yo ass with my nine" I said "Oh really, lets see what the Police have to say about that" He then took a swing at me and missed then went for his jacket pocket like he was going to pull out a gun. I pulled out my knife and swung full force at him but he dodged me. He then ran out of the store, I chased after him and wrote down his tags (MD tags, Baltimore resident go figure >_>). 17 years old and hes currently spending 2 years in prision for that. It was all on video too but I wasn't allowed a copy of the tape :(

not really he was just a stupid wannabe gangsta trying to be tough who almost got his ass killed over so called 'respect' from other fake gangsta crackheads. Theres a huge problem in this city with 'gangs' if you can even call them that. Its usually a bunch of stupid kids committing crimes trying to prove something.

Weapons are neat and all, but knowing how to defend yourself without one is invaluable. That goes for both male and female. I remember carrying a box cutter around with me for a while. Once I was well into high school I took up boxing and I dropped the "My First Weapon" kit. After a rough brawl with 3 of my friends and myself against some doped out losers around the Christmas season last year, my friend's boyfriend invited me to a Krav Maga class of his. I've only been to a few classes since then but the movements are really natural and effective.

(MD tags, Baltimore resident go figure >_>). :(

I kind of take offence to this statement. <_< I know there are a lot of shitty people in B-more, but to imply that the entire city is like that is kind of wrong. (At least thats how I took it anyway)

Stop crying. ;p

I'll never understand how robbing or killing someone gets you "respect" points. But then again what do I know? I drive around in an Rx8 and live in a fancy house. =/ Apparently I'm not good enough to understand.

If you have any knowledge of boxing, and martial arts you would know you really have no need for a weapon, and given the appropriate range and timing, can disarm any weapon an individual is carrying.

To the OP - glad you're okay. Be careful out there. If you ever have an armed robbery just give him/her what they want, and cancel your credit cards later. Although, given you went to the mall to play DDR, I doubt you're very old, so that may be an irrelevant comment.

19 = you're still a kid son.

Old people can play DDR...

Just not necessarily well.

@ Mistra, this is very true, as in any situation where your against an armed person your most likely going to be within h2h distance to where you can disarm them...if you know what your doing. I've seen some crazy shit done to people with knives/guns/etc.

Screw that get a concealed handgun license, especially if you work in a convenience store. Not sure about MD but in any state I've lived in (AL, GA, FL, TX) you can carry a gun on your body in any place except schools and gov. areas, i.e. police office, court, etc.

???

Exactly my point. I've never had to use my gun but that's how I think about it.

thats the plan HOWEVER I have to be 21 to get a CCW in PA, and I will, in 6 months be getting one and buying a handgun. But i'll still carry the knife just in case ;)

That sucks, the age limit. Even in your store is there not a gun behind the counter? It'd be totally legal to use in that case. Convenience stores are dangerous man, but you probably don't need me, who has never worked in one before, to tell you that.

I'll tell you this though. When you do get your CCW make sure every time you get pulled over or somethin' to tell the cop you have a CCW and where your gun is even if it's at your house. I didn't make it a habit and when they come back from their car after lookin' you up they tend to get pretty angry, for some reason.

actually we weren't allowed to have guns where I worked company policy, even if my manager never followed it. I don't work there anymore though.
