Poor little kid, she was cute as a button but they wanted an unrealistic look for a child, seriously, 7 year olds with crooked teeth are ok. That poor little girl will never get a moment like this again, the government stole something precious from her. Their attempts to look perfect have backfired.

This sounds incredibly corny but the Chinese government are worse than the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood stories.

Also those "Sixteen year old" gymnasts they have are totally 12... China just steeps to a new low every day.

Thing is, what will they do AFTER the Olympics? Back to suppressing their citizens and mobilizing their death vans while the rich get wealthier. >=(

Something is wrong if no one can beat 12 year olds in Olympic events, lol.

Especially since she's Asian. Who are notorious for their crooked teeth.

12 yr olds are at a SEVERE advantage in physicality over post-pubescent counterparts. They are far more flexible and can perform many moves with much more ease and reliability. The only thing a 16 yr old has an advantage in is experience and poise.
 
Not to mention it's easier to launch 80 pounds in the air than it is to launch 100-110 pounds. There's a decent size difference between those ages.
