{Hello} My name is Blackpearl. I used to be a Galka & 75 DRG. Yep, Really. Then I leveled BRD, cuz i figured, I've earned it. But DRG is where my heart was. I met many super-cool people in my career, (and Badget), and loved every minute of it. Oh, except for the AJ hunting, that pretty much sucked. (Big thanks to Cix for that, my hero).
I had the pleasure of meeting some great people, and I thank SE for that. I took a promotion at work and had to work a GREAT deal more than i had been and thusly had to quit the game. (Always wanted to use "thusly" in a sentence, probably spelled it wrong). This promotion also came at a time when i had kinda become bored with the game, or at least the constant "I have to be at sky, or dynamis or whatever at this particular time." The game had lost it's charm, I guess. I stopped logging in sometime in late November, 2006, shortly before my birthday. My birthday(12/9) being the same day i started playing FFXI, in 2004. But nearly a year later, I still catch myself missing running into certain areas, or helping some newb get his magicked skull, or my wyvern flapping about and not listening to me. (though i hear they can /emote now, which is AWESOME). But mostly, I miss the people, especially my Dynamis shell, GrandTheftChoco.
Yep, even Blobj. But I decided that I'm not gonna come back, because a) I really don't have time to play, and b) it started to feel like work, and I don't want my entertainment to feel like work. And that's why I'm here. I can communicate with the people I miss (Grifftron, Badger, Uzor, Keryan, Dagoat, mdkuser, Zimmy, Dayner, Sabbers, in no particulr order), and the people I respect(Lanien, Eleibfried, Spirburg, Cix). More people belong in there, but i can't remember all of them, and for that, I apologize, but I thank you all.
