That's hilarious, someone thinking they can analyze themselves accurately. unfortunately people have built in self defense mechanisms to make their own logical actions seem illogical. When groups of people start to criticize your mental state, you might start to sit back and wonder why.
Unfortunately Peregrine, you're not the only one on this messageboard aspiring to be part of the medical profession. A fact you bring up every thread, as if being in medical school, which I can't comment on the likelihood it's true, made you already a doctor. Still classes to take. Still tests to pass. Your confidence with which you assume you'll be moving on reveals a first bit about your personality.
Being as the profession I'm aiming at, therapy, has a strong aspect about personality, I've had the chance to study different personality types. What causes them, what you might expect to see out of them.
Take it with a grain of salt, I'm a mere student, though I'm not worried about my academic career terribly. I'm not licensed, I haven't done my internship.
I always did think there was something a little odd about you. Since very early on when you fled from OH because you couldn't stand our use of profanity. A word comes to mind about that, anal. But that's your right, to unlatch yourself and play your game however you please.
But in the back of my mind, I began a running file on you.
Your actions and attitude merely strengthened my position. I don't feel the need to quote your own posts but obviously you're easy to anger, judgemental, you don't listen and you disregard other's opinion.
First I thought maybe you have a totalitarian personality, but I later changed my mind on that. It wasn't until we were arguing on a rather random discussion about the morality of the morning after pill that a second piece of the puzzle fit. You talked about how you basically couldn't wait til you were a doctor and a walmart employee refused to fill one of your prescriptions so that you could go down there and lie about how your patient committed suicide.
This clearly is not normal. Especially considering walmart doesn't even stock the pills that were in question. But I digress.
It wasn't until this post, when you talked about in real life, all the things you are proud you never did. No speeding tickets, no underaged drinking, no smoking, that it hit me like a ton of bricks.
Like I thought the moment I met you, anal. Suddenly your entire history of arguments were no longer poor logic of an idiot who can mysteriously type effectively, but a complicated series of defense mechanisms.
A defense mechanism, as you should know, if you passed those PSY classes you took and your teachers were worth a damn, are a logical reason your mind will fabricate to do an illogical thing. For example people who display signs of homosexuality usually are the most homophobic, a fact not lost on me with your occasional use of "fag" when frusterated.
More on that, for better understanding of the idea of being "Anal," we look at Sigmund Freud, who I hope you know, but after what you said in that quote up top I have a little doubt there.
Well Freud says when developing we have certain stages at early life. The first two is all we'll go into for now, the oral and anal stages. To a baby both are erogoneus zones. The anal stage, which starts around age 2, is where certain developmental problems can lead someone to become as we say "anal." This I believe where Peregrine went wrong.
There is some sort of frusteration about pleasure Peregrine has connected into his anal erogoneous zone. I believe if you asked his parents they would say his toilet training was in some way abnormal than an ordinary child. My guess is he was a late bloomer.
This frusteration seems to have seeped out into his entire personality. He has a hatred for people bending or breaking the rules when it is or isn't rational. His mind will find ways to make it rational. Frusteration is all about what you want and can't have, and there seems to be an interconnected frusteration about breaking the rules and a pleasure zone in Peregrine's anus.
If he can't break the rules he wants to then therefore he must persecute others who may or may not break the rules.
Then you start to see different defenses penetrate his logic when he makes his attacks and even if he may have a solid case at any point his emotions overwhelm and his logic fails. I see a basic intellectual pattern of defense, upon where his mind creates logical strings to justify his base irrational anger. Then he uses a classic denial defense to ignore any and all reasonable voices that counter his logic.
My personal opinion, this could be a real problem to you throughout your life if you don't seek help for your affliction. Of course as I said from the start, I'm merely a student right now, so I don't know. But I think you should talk to someone for help to work out whatever demons you have, just not me because I don't like you.
As for the issue of speed hacks, I've said it once and I'll say it again. I don't speed hack. I don't encourage anyone to speed hack. Nobody in OH encourages anyone to speed hack. I don't pay attention to it, don't know, don't want to know. However I can't deny they exist because if I want to know or not, there are people in every HNM LS I've seen use them. Just today on KB a rival LS was warping around Behemoth's Domain. It's a fact that saddens me, but when you start to deal with aspects of endgame besides just sky and dynamis, from every shell if you look closely you'll see someone using hacks.
Dowzer himself, one of the people making allegations was once suspended for speed hacking. If I recall he claims it wasn't true and the GM made a mistake. I don't care, either way. It's not my business. For all I know he never hacked, and GMs make mistakes. The same can be said for any other situation. If you see someone hacking, call a GM, it won't upset me in the slightest. Just do it for every LS, call GMs on everyone. If the enforcements go up, all around endgame people will stop using any programs in fear of getting in trouble. Or they'll use smarter programs.
What matters to me is people being civil to each other and respectful to other LSs, and I think lately OH has been exemplory with regards to how it has been treating other LSs. All the same, nobody's perfect, and I'm sure we've been in the wrong in the past sometimes at least partially and looking back at my behavior what I am ashamed of most is only that I at times took to judge other LSs, which was wrong.
The people that bother me aren't "illegitament" players as Peregrine calls them. Not gilbuyers, gilsellers, or even account buyers. Notice in all this time you've never seen me on QCDN calling people gilbuyers, even when I have strong suspicions of some. I never take cheap shots at gilsellers to join in the bashing. What bothers me isn't things like that. What bothers me is MPKers, claim botters, thieves and just assholes in general. What bothers me is people who only have loyalty to themselves. My loyalty is to whoever I'm working for. If I'm in a linkshell, my loyalty is to a linkshell. If i'm in an alliance, I'll do whatever I can to help them win. If I'm in an exp party, I'll do whatever I can to help net the most exp. I don't talk shit about my EXP parties, alliances that invite me for events, or linkshells I'm in or have ever been in. My loyalty does not waver.
While I've made numerous enemies on QCDN, I've made at the most 2 or 3 in game. On QCDN I vent a little, in game I'm strictly anti-drama. Not only do I not participate in fights I do my best to stop people from fighting always.
I'm not the kind of person who says that if you have a problem with me, go fuck yourself. In Peregrine's case i'll make an exception.
