Well actually I am confused so I tried to relate the two processes together

When I mean a full blast I mean like your kid is going to die in a car about to be crushed or you cant get out of a car that is about to be compounded.

I was asking if ATP was responisble for the direct control of adrenaline rushes or controlled the lesser versions of them

yes the collapse part I mentioned is due to the lack of energy or sugar after they lift that 2k lb car they need to go to the emergency room after they pass out. I dont know much about General Adaptation Syndrome that could have been what our teacher had been relating the ATP with since she did say that it can be all released at once(under life/death situations) maybe ATP is involved with this process.

In case you're wondering I retain most of anything that is science related since well it's actually something I'm decent at...that and Spanish. What I said is most of what I learned in Biology last year our teacher is kinda old like ya thought LoL but my memory can be fuzzy in places.

I don't know much but I love learning stuff like this

I dragged out all my textbooks and I can't find a single reference to the body using ATP in that fashion. It doesn't mean that it's not true, it just means that I can't find a reference to it. I'm sure your biology teacher knows what she is talking about even if she is a dinosaur, LOL.

I am pretty sure that use of ATP is not stimulated by the sympathetic nervous system.

Did your teacher cover fluids and electrolytes and acid-base balances? I think you have some stuff combined in your head that should be separate if that makes sense.
 
she covered the olyxly groups like adenine and stuff which make up structure of proteins lipids and such. It focused more about the make up of cells and the processes the ATP was one of the examples

This is where self -study comes in. Fluids and electrolytes can be covered in about two chapters, acid-base balance in one. How about you study up then we can discuss, they are both very interesting subjects.

Let me give you a taste. Neutral pH is 7.0, the pH of a human is 7.35-7.45 so you see how narrow that window is, and many things can upset the balance and kill your ass. The body has mechanisms to keep your body in homeostasis, the kidneys play a huge part, by getting rid of or hanging onto certain things.

I'm afraid... I'm pretty sure I actually learned something from this thread. And not just that Kink needs to teach my classes.

I tutor a group of six, so I sort of get in the habit of being "teachy" I am glad you learned something. I don't think I can come teach your class but we could set up a private tutoring session :biggrin:

wow, you are so that kid who used to sit behind me in maths class who would draw naked ladies whilst occasionally ruffling a cheetos bag or grunting (giggling?) hysterically when our teacher said "asymptote".

P.S breathing through your nose would be something to work towards and you smell like farts.
