Merry Christmas!
I just got a new iPod, lol (went from a nano to a video, =P) and since I love asking qcdners questions before I consult anyone else, I wanna ask....

How can I transfer my songs from my old iPod to my new one if I don't have the files on my computer anymore? (Booooo constant wipe'n'reloadin!) Coz I have like 300 songs and I don't wanna go find em again ;;

so yeah.

Sorry to trouble you on christmas, lol o.o;;

hope its merry!

Oh hey its only christmas eve...

Should be able to use itunes to transfer the files from your old ipod to your computer, then onto your new ipod. If you have two cables, and I would imagine you do, you might even be able to transfer from one straight to the other.

You can't use iTunes to get songs from an iPod without tinkering with it, and you certainly can't hook two iPods to each other. Try this.

That program doesn't seem to be working for meh >.>
Isn't even loading and gives me an error message D:

Meh, maybe I'll just go on a downloading spree, then ;;

Anyone know a free program to convert AVI files to iPod compatible video files, either? Been trying to figure that out, but I can only find bad trial versions of converters >.>

There's this, but I've never really gotten it to work :(

I don't know about the nano, but how i did it with my brother's ipod.

When you plug your ipod on to your computer, it comes up as a harddrive on the desktop or whatever. If you open it there is a folder that has all your itunes music on it. Just make a duplicate file of it and transfer it to your desktop. Then plug in the second ipod and put the copied song folder on to it.

Or go to versiontracker.com

Its a really good shareware/freeware site that i use quite frequently. Good stuff there.

Select all, drag them to somewhere on your computer, put them in iTunes, put it on your new iPod.
