Getting sued by the RIAA for downloading a single song 10 years ago? Fight back like this kid is here:

Honestly, this is pure genius; if this pans out well, it could mean the end of the RIAA's retarded scare tactics and blanket-lawsuits. You'd think they'd have stopped or at least toned it down a little after they tried to sue someone who had never even owned a computer, but no one ever said they were intelligent.

IDK, maybe if the music industry and to a greater effect the movie industry put out...oh IDK less... how do you say, "Total Trash" the consumer market wouldnt resort to having to pirate songs and movies.

I mean how many research studies will it take to realize that people dont want to spend almost 20 bucks on a CD that only has 1-2 songs that are actually worth a damn, or that people dont want to pay 10 bucks on a movie ticket to some overhyped Garfield movie. Bottom line, "People wont pay for trash, but they damn sure will take it for free if you let them".

Anyone that paid 10 bucks to see Garfield deserved to lose that money.

But I agree wholeheartedly with your point. It sucks spending 15 bucks on a cd only to have seven or eight minutes of it be any good. I think its worse when the whole cd is only like 28 min long. Short songs are brutal.

I was on a cd buying kick for a few months, but the cost greatly outweighed the quality of music i was getting. Now I just spend 15 bucks a month to dl whatever I want with my Zune. I've already downloaded 30-something cds, and Ive found that when I stopped paying for the service, I still had the music on the Zune itself, which ruled.

If there were to be a pitchfork-and-torch rally against the RIAA, I'd be down.
