Bajaratt... When Odon says he will replace if he breaks and then sells one on ah before replacing the one he says he broke, it looks kinda funny no?

Andreva, Dakko asked Odon to craft it on the best chance of HQ, not right away.
Also biggest chance of break, yes, but when you're told you will be replaced if break, it's no biggy if you ask me.



Like has been stated about 100 times before in here.
Odon could end all this if he wanted, but he's chosing not to, maybe because he in fact is a liar.
I know that if I was called out on my crafts in a thread that has been shown like 14000, I'd learn to post a pic quicker than quick.

But since he chooses not to, I think it's only fair that people doubt him.

Just out of curiosity, why would anyone offer to replace a broken component, I mean it's pure chance and not the crafters fault when it breaks. Regardless of the Odon Dakko thing, imho the risk should be with the one wanting to get the work done.

Well the crafter can take large steps in reducing the chances of a break. On top of that, knowing what level the crafter is helps a person decide what level of risk is involved when choosing a crafter. If someone was as confident as Odon often makes himself out to be, I would understand the guarantee, otherwise no, not with something that expensive.

You have kinda hit on an issue relavent to the original flame. Why make such offers? It is a great deal the crafters responsability to go for best results. Oh course, if someone told me to try and HQ it, I would ignore them and just go for the most successful chance at synth. I mean, a HQ is nice, but a NQ is better than a multi-million gil break any day.

It is my understanding that Dakko requested to synth on the day of the best chance to get a HQ, thus the greatest chance for a break. It was the customers choice, and I don't believe it's up the the crafter to decide differently. It the customer wants the risk then so be it.

Odon, did you tell Dakko you would provide a replacement in case of breakage?
 
PS. Please stick to the no-thread crapping policy, unless you have something relevant to add gtfo of this thread. I know it's cute that this is at 36 pages, but those who actually read this thread for the discussions sake shouldn't be forced to sift through the chaff.

His response was a few pages back when he said he made that offer to Dakko's friend, but not Dakko himself. This is in dispute however, since Dakko seems to believe otherwise.

If Odon crafted for free and replaced every break, he'd be potentially throwing away his own money while people toss Shining Cloths at him til he HQs for them. But whatever..

I have to agree. I just somehow do NOT see any crafter saying this. They'd be losin' their ass and gil in a very short time. Sorry, but like my Dad always taught me ...

Personally this crap is looking more like a vendetta than a flame. I don't know if it's jealousy or what, but y'all are starting to sound like a bunch of whiners more than anything else.

Btw, I'm NOT saying this cuz I'm taking sides. I'm trying very hard to stay neutral here, but it's starting to look more like a lynching than anything else. Get off it, and let this crap die.

Bottom line people, it's just a friggin' game. When you lose gil ingame, items, or you die, it's not like it's RL crap. It's one thing to be pissed off about it, but the way you guys are carrying on you'd think you really just lost some major shares in the stock market.
