I'm more or less looking for any sort of advice that i can use to help remedy this problem i have.
Problem:
My school has been in the local news lately for a totally bogus false claim. An "inproper relationship between a faculty member and a student". I am very good friends with both of these people and i am almost always around when they are together.
There has always been rumors of them being together like that, but whenever i caught wind of them i dismissed them immeditily. Recently though, it just exploded. Over the course of one day, maybe two (last friday was senior skip day here), he was sent on paid leave probably until the end of the year.
They have never been anything more than just friends. He gave us both a place to stay when we couldn't take our classes and he gave us a person to talk to when we didn't have anyone to do so. I can't even think of a reason why someone would do this to them. Jealously over a friendship with a teacher? I honestly can't think of it.
Now e-mails are being sent out to all teachers saying, "We are having reports of other inappropiate relations so come confess now." My homeroom teacher is one of the Union heads of the school, as is the teacher that was initially investigated and they say that the e-mail was wrong to send out because it is assuming guilt or something like that.
Does anyone know anyway that i can help clear everyones name that i know is clear? People are just talking to start drama here and so close to the end of the year at that. I don't want excellent teachers that have affected my life so greatly to be fired for something that isn't even true.
