As of this evening, Reya and I are engaged!

I thought I'd have something clever to say here, but much like the proposal, it has completely run out of my head. I had this whole corny speech planned out and the instant the time came I totally forgot it... >.>; Good thing she said yes, lol.

congrats... but slight rant coming...

This is for all guys out there in order to make the holidays better for everyone please... please stop proposing on damn holidays. It makes girls who are in long term relationships expect it and it puts undo pressure on guys who are in the same relationships.

You know when you should propose? Thursday jan 23rd or something else random like that... why? because you fucking felt like it. You make it worse on everyone by making the holidays the time to propose.


Seriously though... congratulations.

See, you propose on a day that's near a holiday, that way if she ever bitches at you for not knowing the day you proposed you'll know it. No one will remember random days.

Thank you everyone for the kind words :)

I was really happy when Raes asked me on Christmas Eve. We came back to the appartment after visiting with my parents, and on our dining table were two candles, wine and two glasses. I was confused at first, but then he took my hand in his and went to a knee. I felt like crying, it took a lot to keep myself composed. I couldn't even believe he was asking me.

I feel so fortunate to have somebody like Chris (Raes) in my life. I love him so much. He means so much to me. He is the person I can go to for anything. I feel safe and warm in his arms, and everything is finally at peace. It hurts me when I am so far away from him on my duty station, but knowing I have such a wonderful person waiting for me back home, makes me feel at ease. He is my best friend, my love and now I can not wait to spend the rest of our lives together, Chris. I love you.

PS - >_> Not going into too many details *ahem* but now our bed is like a pirate!! That's right, we broke one of the legs of the bed x_o and now it has a peg leg!!! D'oh!!!
