I use both Ad-aware and Spybot S&D for spywares.

Their new spyware removal program ewido is pretty nice too. I've used S&D Spybot and Ad-aware but ewido is really nice from AVG and their definitions are updated daily. Not to mention it's free :D
 
AVG > all virii scanners.
 
Spysweeper is also another good one...I have that one on my computer downstairs...but (I think this was mentioned before) if you'd like a free spyware remover get AD-Aware SE Personal. :3
 
I found that kicking your computer is the best virus/spyware remover out there.
 
Ad-aware is defenitly my choice for anti-spyware.

Yea, AVG is best for viruses, just KEEP IT UPDATED. Once I let an update slip and the next thing I know, im reformating my hard drive. (On a related note, I thus had to re-update FFXI. Damn SE to hell.)

You really have to run several programs to completely clean out a system.

Start with ccleaner to clean up your temp files. http://www.ccleaner.com/

Then run whichever anti-spyware programs you can. Adaware and Spybot S&D are probably the most known, but you'll probably also want to get the trial of Spysweeper as well.

However, the absolute best program, in my opinion, is Ewido. You can get a trial that works like the full version does and lasts 12-15 days. From my experience, it seems to find the most stuff. If I were going to buy some anti-spyware software, this would be the one. http://www.ewido.net/en/

Also, there are some other good trial versions of software you can get on the net for viruses and spyware such as Panda Antivirus (http://www.pandasoftware.com/) and TrojanHunter (http://www.misec.net/).

There's also the ever useful Hijackthis. http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/

Damn it Myrrh thats what u told me to do......I never kicked my computer

But i did run over to office Max and picked up a $30dollar spy sweeper the best one they had there was Webroot and i got it.......


Kicking your computer will not work for everyone, Myrrh fails to tell u that u gotta have the Myrrh virus...once u get the Myrrh Virus then u kick your computer
