Hola amigos. Im looking for a LCD tv and computer moniter (most work together) for pretty cheap. I have ~500-600 dollars to spend, and am looking for 32-37" or larger if possible.

Anyone have any good TVs or good websites I can check some out at? I checked Newegg, and have my pick there, but I would like to hear about some that you guys have used or seen.

If you also know of CRT rear projection or what not im open to those too, im mainly looking for something that works for both that isnt the size of my fist... its hard to find cheap awesome TVs these days. If you have any input on a good TV I would love to hear about it... Thanks

If you buy an LCD TV, you'll be disappointed with the way it looks for computer apps.

If you buy an LCD monitor, you'll be disappointed with the way it looks for TV shows.

There really isn't any perfect solution combining the two technologies yet (in that price range). LCD TVs, when plugged into a computer, run at horrid resolutions for the size (example, 32" LCD TV might run at 1280x800 whereas a 30" LCD monitor runs at 2560x1600).

There are many high-end LCD monitors that have component inputs though, so if you have a digital cable or satellite receiver then that would be your best option.

CRT projection screens, they're incredibly cheap but you really get what you pay for. Ever since LCDs and plasmas have become mainstream, projection tubes just look like crap. Low contrast, uneven brightness (edges are often darker based on screen size and your position), viewing from an angle is weak, etc.

Do you have a digital cable or satellite receiver?

Neither >.> Right now im still on the rabbit ears, When I move out in 4 months I imagine ill be on Comcast. What CRT TVs are there that are good? 30" > prefferably, My friend has a really nice 40" he got for $400 at Best Buy on sale, but I cant find anything like that anymore. I dont mind CRT, but If i get one i want HD and not Standard Definiton >< eww.

For that price range I will point you to the Olevia brand. They are not expensive. Here is one:

Olevia 537H - 37" LCD HD Integrated Flat Panel
37" Screen - 16:9 Aspect Ratio - HDTV
Syntax 537H Olevia 37" LCD HDTV Aspect Ratio (16:9), Contrast Ratio (1600:1), Resolution 1366x768, View Angle 178/178, 3D Comb Filter, 50w (2) speakers, Vesa 100 x 200.

I would recomend the one I have:

50" Grand WEGA™ SXRD Rear Projection HDTV
KDS-50A2000

The contrast ratio is superb, at 10,000:1 you get the deepest black ever on HDTV. It's 1080p too.

Ya i bet it cost $1200 tho >< That Olevia is the one i was looking at.
