Heya,

I'm looking for info on where to attain a parser, as I lost mine after my laptop fried and can't remember where to get one. I need to do some testing for DNC, for a topic that is on the DNC threads.

Please, if you do not have DNC lvled, or plan on lvling DNC, I would prefer it if everyone didn't go crazy and start saying we're all stupid, or anyone is stupid, for what is being discussed. That is why we want to get ahold of a parser, to get some real data.

I changed the DVSconfig file like you said, but can't get it to start up, gives me an error

Installation:

Extract "KParser 1.0.x.zip" file into its own directory and run the .exe file.



If you are running Windows Vista, you may need to adjust the runtime permisssions for the program.

Right click select Properties on the .exe file. Go to the Compatibility tab and check the check box "Run this program as an Administrator".

Do you have .NET framework? It's in the readme, I can't remember which one it is you need.
 
No, I don't believe I do have the .NET framework. I'll check it out
 
hi i dled the link cherron gave(first one since i use windows but not vista) and i tried to run the parser and it still did not work


do i need to move the file into the folder of the kparser? or am i missing something?

keeps saying a component concerning system data 3.5
 
See the other two links in that post of Cherrons? They're files you need to run the Kparser. I tried Kparse out, it's pretty nice but I ended up getting directparse instead.
 
oh you needed both of them? gotcha i thought each was for a different os
 
I did too at first, but no, you need em both
 
well i got both of the downloaded and i started a parse but nothing was recorded

i chose begin a default parse i saw other non pt members in my options under tools i think but nothing was recorded.

maybe the parser doesn't record pet damage? it's pretty simplistic unlike dxparse
 
I'm not entirely sure. The thing I liked about k parse was that all the different dnc JAs show up when you use them such as quickstep and boxstep, and it has an acc rate on those. Other then that....that's why I went with direct instead. Not sure why, lol. >.>
 
Hi!!
Is there any way to get Direct Parser working while having 2 ffxi windows open? I haven't tried the other parsers yet. I probably should, but meh maybe someone has experience. Is there any trick to it?
 
not sure either i was trying to record pet damage on smn i'm not sure if it recorded my damage though since i closed it after getting impatient with it
