Looking for Coloured Choco Female/Coloured Pair

After trying out chocobo racing, I've decided that I'm insane and going to raise Chocobo Number 4. My best chocobo has great physical stats, but no abilities. Seeing as he's 98 days old, it's probably too late to teach an old chocobo new tricks.

That in mind, I'd like to try and raise an even better chocobo for the sole purpose of racing, since I already have a great riding bird. I don't feel like risking the random results given by purchasing an egg in Jeuno, and I'd breed to one of my two yellow females, except as much as I hate to say it, I'm a colourist and I'd like to get a coloured chocobo once more. I would like to either obtain a coloured female chocobo card to breed to my blue male or a pair of coloured chocobos, if they are any other colour beside blue.

I'm not sure what sort of asking prices people have on their chocobo cards. I don't have a lot of money, but I'm willing to pay the card fee for the card(s) and any other reasonable price, since I know it used to cost quite a bit to raise chocobos if you weren't into gardening or cooking.

Abilities would be a bonus, but if they have none, that doesn't bother me, since I'll be aiming to get abilities through raising.

I have Green Chocobo with 1st Class Str and Endurance with Gallop and Auto-regen.... Raised him for racing and to be faster if not same speed as the rent chocobo... But .. it's male >_>.

Though i also have a Red male chocobo that is raised for Digging, got both abilities on the red ones now just raising the stats before retiring him and work on next coloured choco. If you interested in any of them look for me.

PS: If you want Red or Green Female chocobo, go to Whitegate near the warp taru. There is a player selling chocobo cards. Cheers.

If you're offering your little boys up for stud-rights, I'd also like to express some interest. Do you charge a coupling fee?

Also, do you happen to recall the prices required by the choco-pimp in Whitegate?

Thanks! Unfortunately I can't afford 70k right now (I have all of 61k as of now lol). If I happen to do well on my next bout of farming, I'll definetly check it out. I'm slightly more interested in the elusive black chocobo, so if you know anyone with those card/s, let me know.

Edit: Off topic question: Those who raised receptivity and discernment first, did your chocobo obtain the large beak once they hit 30? I'm trying to avoid that look, but I know it takes at least 20 some odd days to get high discernment to teach abilities. Has anyone raised a chocobo with abilities but didn't get the big ass beak? Thanks!

If you want discernment just for ability-learning on a racing chocobo, work on it with the adult care plan for pure discernment (dig for treasure I think?), *after* getting your physical stats to first-class. Since there are only 3 adult care plans and the missing one is endurance, if you're raising that then you're using the adolescent care plan of carrying packages *anyway*. Which means you can get started with that, as effectively as you're ever gonna be, in adolescence.

And the side perk is that you don't get the freaky looking big-beaked chocobo either.

So:

Egg: Basic Care
Chick: Walk around town
Adolescent: Carry packages
Adult: Carry packages until first-class STR/END -> dig for treasure until average DIS -> learn racing abilities -> fine-tune from there, noting that DIS and REC are not useless for racing

Note that care plans stop affecting stat growth after some day in the 60's (63? 65?). Whenever it is you get the special message about the chocobo's maturity or whatnot. After that, stick it on Basic Care so your care plan isn't siphoning away the choco's affection, unless you like the gil from the later care plans. If you want to play with your stats further after that point, you can use the 80 chocobucks training, which is a boost to *one* stat approximately equivalent to an adolescent care plan. (And unlike all care plans, it doesn't decrease any stats at all.)

Thanks for the offer! Unfortunately I'm looking for a female. If you have one, let me know. As I said before, I don't mind paying the dispensing fee (500 gil) which you need to pay to get the card.

I'd be intersted in trading. I'm not sure if stats can get passed through by breeding, but from my experience, the stats were easy to raise via care plans, so it doesn't bother me that your bird doesn't have great stats.
