Looks like Peregrine was right. Blm nerf.

wow way to much to read anyway and nerf they do to blm will end up hitting rdm to. The only thing i could see them doing is messing with blm magic acc or magic atk

Major resists, astral flow, kirin's neverending WS's, sleepga, refresh....

And honestly I think one of the biggerchallenges would be the pops. Seiryus hundred fists, byakkos massive attack, paralyzga from seiryu and byakko, suzaku's chainspell, would be very difficult.

In the end its possible...but it would still be massive exp loss for an NM blms get nothing from >.> I'd like to be proven wrong though, would be crazy.

I'm well aware of how kirin works.

And adds wouldn't be that big of a problem

18-25 stuns is plenty to kill a CFH summon.

If anyone wants to drop me a seal set, I'll set this up and prove it can be done.

and for the love of all that is FF dont give smn aoe refresh.

18 stuns not enough to handle a weak ass kirin summon 2 hour? It takes a little skill, but even blm can kite Kirin too. He doesn't run that fast and stops to use TP moves, meanwhile you keep running and are too far away to take damage from them. Sleepga is the only excuse to die kiting kirin.

Not to mention stouter, You can gravity kirin rather easily.

36 if odon has that many there, which I actually didn't take into account that the god summons would be CFH, so they wouldnt be too big of a problem. Kirin tends to smack whever is near him as well though, if they have a decent amount of hate, and casting aero 4 or -ga 3 takes some time, if he runs near you or even by you while casting or right after casting, you are prolly dead. Kiting kirin isn't too hard, but he still runs prety fast, faster than a person would. So they will get hit. Refresh might be able to be beat by rotating BLMs, altohugh 36 is a bit unrealistic to have there. Like fire said, it would be a matter of how often BLMs would die and how long kirin would be alive. Prolly a mix of luck and quick thinking on the blms parts.

maybe quick temp log outs? if you can get a kiting order down i think that would help with the full massave whipes. I know that i can take a few shots to the face from kirin as blm/rdm with stoneskin and phalaxe up. give me aquaviel and i'm sure i'd finish my spell before dyin lol

I kite kirin as much as anyone else on my blm, he's actually an easy kite. resists stun real good though.

Kirin doesn't run that fast, I've pulled and held hate for 2-3 minutes as rng without taking any damage before. Designated DD blms could sub nin and do the same.

Personally as a BLM I am happy about this. I have been a BLM from the first day of the PS2 release and I have always wanted to be a great BLM. Ever sense the Ranger Nerf, BLMs ahev been poping up left and right. Now, I am someone who enjoys manaburns, but when there was 5 manaburns in Bibiki Bay the other day, and a regular party barely getting any mobs, I found that unfair. Also, being a little weakend will be fine for me. ^^ I'm getting sick of pulling the hate every time I Magic Burst. Them poor Ninjas have to go through hell to get the hate back.

I still will stay a BLM, even after the update. (Other then when I wanna level other jobs) BLM will continue to be my main job, and my pride. ^^ Now.. here is hoping compisation is called "Warpaga" and "Stone V" >D

oh, and please, never start a thread with "peregrine was right"
more like whiny bitches like peregrine complained until SE did something to shut their faces ^^d
the thought of peregrine being right created a hole in the space-time fabric near my computer and Napoleon keeps throwing things at my computer

Why do you care how other people beat 'epic' missions or bcnms? Does it in any way detract from you that a bunch of blm beat DM in 6 seconds? Maybe people have fun doing blm manaburn (omg.. people having fun playing their job, NERF). With the nerf, you will have to put together a different party set up anyway, so what do you care if there are no blm available to help you? Are you even going to want to take blm with you on these runs, since there will probably be alot more useful jobs after this alleged nerf? If you know a different strategy, then why dont you employ that strat? Why do blm have to do things the same way as everyone else? What it really comes down to is I think people are jealous that blm can have an easy time with some things.

And as far as bitching about bcnm's, Ive never seen 6 blm do a CoP mission. Should smn be nerfed? Oh no, its not fair that 6 smn can beat the promy missions so quick; ; They get tavnazian access faster, not fair. lets nerf that job b/c I had to use a regular job set up (sarcasm). Anyway, if they nerf blm, it would be total bs.

It's pretty clear that you're not even reading my entire post and your post is extremely emotion driven.

I have done these BCs and DM etc. all the normal way with traditional setups.

I said that I wanted to level BLM even if it gets nerfed.

I then proceeded to say I'd just keep playing WAR even if it was nerfed for whatever reason.

Your post consists of rude retorts and some attempts at wit to try and get a point across that has next to no supporting logic. You're more worried about one job that you've invested in being nerfed than having an actual logical discussion about it. So, get angry all you want, my post still makes a lot of sense and I'm not even a hater of BLM nor did I want them to be nerfed, I just stated why I can see the reason for them getting nerfed and stated that I'd still play that job anyway, or my job if it got nerfed for that matter. Just suck it up and enjoy the game.

Now, as for all the other BLM whine posts in this thread, I feel the exact same way. You're not looking at the bigger picture and you're just posting out of sheer emotion and anger to try and be rude to people for even thinking of nerfing BLM or providing a completely legit reason to do so. Most of you don't even put any arguments into your posts, you just put up completely off the wall comparisons(ONOES MONK AND WARRIOR CAN CANNON PARTY, THAT TOTALLY COMPARES TO MANA BURNING EXTREMELY IMPORTANT MISSIONS). Get a grip, and come with a real argument.

Here is the general reason provided to you: BLM can instagib multiple extremely important things in the game that are meant to be a challenge. YES, I am aware that BLMs can not manaburn every single BC or anything remotely close, but SE has stated they view this as an issue, so you have to deal with it. Reply with reason as to why you think it should be like this, don't be a rude jackass, and you might get across to some people. Don't include completely off the wall ridiculous comparisons that have nothing to do with eachother. Go.

Nerfing BLM is stupid. If SE really wanted to fix imbalance in endgame content they could just make HNM and high end NM so that melee do real dmg on them. Nerfing jobs is not the answer, putting all jobs a level playing field is the answer. Also, blms job is to be the big dmg dealer in a quick fashion. Its what the job was designed to do. To me, fixing endgame melee dmg is a better solution than any nerf.

So basicly this boils down to:

Deal with SE learning how to balance their first step into the MMO market ..... or go play something else where the developers knew what they were getting in to from the outset.

Either you're tough enough to be prepared to deal with it or you're not.

It's threads like this that honestly make me question how many of you play this game simply because of the name attached to it.

I ended up with Stalin. he's throwing stuff, but its bottles of Vodka which i'm catching.

If you want to balance out end game content by nerfing blm, there's an extremely easy way to do most of it. Keep tier I spells giving 5 TP to the mob, make tier II and tier I -ga give 10, tier III and tier II -ga 15 TP, and tier IV and III -ga give 20 TP. That is where blm is overpowered end game, huge damage for tiny small mob TP.

Quote- Another good point Skaw brings up is that cannon parties aren't the issue, exp is just endless grinding as it is. Missions and huge BCs etc. that are supposed to be epic battles getting mana burned in one synced mass spell cast isn't the way it's supposed to be. You completely bypass any challenge and get an instagib autowin on things that are supposed to pose a threat. SE obviously didn't intend for it to be this way. It's really not very hard to understand at all. Quit being so angry about it.

Answer me this, why does it concern you what strategy people use to beat epic battles or any mission/quest. Why is it any of your business if people want to bypass any challenges? Are they in any way affecting your game play? This is my logic, if you dont like to manaburn, then fine, dont manaburn, but why do you want others to stop manaburning? Let me guess, SE didnt intend them to. Well, the mechanics of the game allows them to do so. Should nin not be a tank b/c SE didnt intend them to be? I dont care what u do with your war, it doesnt affect me at all. What i do care is when apparently its ok to nerf blm, b/c people are upset that they can do some things that their job cant. Thats the point of having different jobs. theres no need for people to cry about it and therefor get the job changed. So, how is my logic flawed? The way i see it is that most blm agree with me, and most non blm do not. This is a real arguement. Why should my enjoyment of the game suffer because a few people think my job is too strong, yet when i manaburn, it does absolutely nothign to them.

Because evil BLMs are raising the prices on venomous claws!!! BURN THE BLMs.
