From AP:

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The victim might have forgiven the woman who ran him down in a Massachusetts crosswalk, but police haven't.

Police say a Pittsfield woman has been cited for running down a man named Lord Jesus Christ as he crossed a street in Northampton on Tuesday.

The 50-year-old man is from Belchertown. Officers checked his ID and discovered that, indeed, his legal name is Lord Jesus Christ. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor facial injuries.

Police say 20-year-old Brittany Cantarella was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Not something I'd normally say, but I'm glad to hear Jesus is okay.

I'm glad he's ok. Funny name though, I wonder if he changed it himself or if his parents actually named him that lol.

Parents give their kids really strange names...nowadays. I can't imagine parents of 50 year olds being that odd, but human beings surprise me everyday.

Yeh that's what I was thinking also, but like you said, people do crazy shit sometimes.

The supreme court needs to make a ruling that parents can't name their kids stupid shit anymore. It's so unprofessional when they get older to have a name like "Pineapple" or "And, tragically, violence" (yes that one was serious)

That poor man ... somebody named him Lord Jesus Christ.

Shit, I thought I was wierd when I named my daughter Athena, but I figured I'd choose that name since it goes with the Greek origins of my name. Either way, just in case, I gave my daughter a middle name, Selene, just in case Athena gets her picked on =/

Sheesh, that's not something I'd name a kid. Heck, I don't even want to name my kids after video game charas. That'd be just as dumb.

Speaking of that, I had to stop my sister from naming her son "Raiden"; I was all, "Do you REALLY want to name your kid after a Mortal Kombat chara?!" ...yeah jeez. (Kid ended up being named "Jaron")...If I name anything after video game charas it'll be a pet. Pets don't get teased.

lololol that's too funny. Honestly Raiden was pretty cool from what I remember so maybe they wouldn't have taken heat. Guess we'll see how the kid does with Jaron. Personally, I'd like to name my kid if I ever have one after somebody that was very important in my life. Lauren for a girl, Jeff for a guy.

Easy. When he was born people were still shitting themselves over Godless Communists so they gave him a biblical name. It's 100% believable that it is his birth name.

Oh I have no problem believing it's his birth name. I, like most of the other people who've read this thread probably, find it humorous.
