How does it work? I got the quest once a couple days ago and have not been able to get it again... I wanna know how to get the quest again so I can beat another record.

I've gotten:

Gysahl Greens x a boat load.
San d'Orian Gate Glyph(Going from San d'Oria to Jeuno)
Dragon Chronciles twice.

Only get Miratete's Memoir's or Dragon Chronicles if you actually beat the record. I've only ever gotten chocobo tickets and gysahl greens and a Bastok Mines gate glyph, because I always miss the record by like 10 seconds or so. >.< I do like the chocobo tickets though... makes it so you can actually get a chocobo from Mea or Port Jeuno without paying out your ass. :roll:

You don't need to beat the record. Everytime I've done it and got Chronicles, I never came close to the record(1:30~ away.)

Memoire's are probably record breaking, but Dragon Chronicles is probably a set maximum time reward.

holy crap so thats what it is when the person asks u to return the chocobo :shock: i always thought u would get some crappy amount of gil but dam....i got that request like 4 times in one day but i declined every time.

I always wondered how you are supposed to get from Windy to Bastock without the Chocobo leaving you. I tried it before and he ditched me in the middle of Konshtat. Other then buying full riders gear, is there any way that it can be done?

Raise your nation rank. The higher your rank the longer you can ride on chocobos. Some of these journeys simply just arent possible if your rank is too low. As what happened to you.. it will do that everytime.

You really shouldn't be having any problems if you're rank 5 or higher though. If you aren't, well.. then that's why you can't do it.

I'm Rank 7 and using all the shortcuts i know. I dont know how anyone can make it to North Gustaberg let alone Bastock mines.

Well I found that the only way i can get from one Nation to the other is by gettin some of the chocobo gear. So far I have the body and the legs and that was enough to get me where i needed to be. Saddly I just missed the record by less then 1 min at 33:24 or around there.
