I got one of these last night whille exping, keeping it in my invintory i have noticed no difference in spider web drops since before i had it. Does this actually increase drop rates? Does one have to eat it for it to work? Or is this item a big load of poo?

It only works if it's the 35th item in your inventory list, it has to be full moon 95%, Fire day, between 1:12 and 9:56 for it to work. You also need to deal the final blow while facing West, in an expension zone (like the desert) while in a party with a Taru drg in full AF that is NOT in the same zone you are.

Finally, you need to be a THF level 45 or more and then, ONLY THEN, will you see an increase in your drops.

I'm telling ya..... ^^

OMG wow i'll have the try that farming webs in boyada tree

;)

Total myth. Hang on to it in case you ever want to do the quest for the Opo Crown. Try not to accidentally eat it like my buddy did. ><

This rumor didn't start based off of any evidence. Nobody noticed an increased drop rate while holding on to this thing, and shared the "secret" with the world. Do you want to know how this rumor got started?

Someone (or perhaps a few people separately) said, "Hey! Look at the name on this thing! It says 'lucky!" I'll bet it's lucky!"

It's the same with the Millionaire's Desk, and the four-leaf Mandragora buds. It's not even speculation; speculation should have some kernel of observed truth to get it started. This is just wild imagining, based solely on the names of the items, spread around by people desperate for an edge.

The "lucky" in the Lucky Egg is just a name. The Egg itself has no effect on your "luck," besides what people imagine because of their prior ideas.

It works like any superstition, so long as you really think it'll happen, it will (but only to you). this is prolly because in order to be right you create the situation (intentionally or unintentionally).

Such as any time I have my 3 and 4 leaf Mandy buds on me, I won't die while running zones. I know I can't tempt fate so I won't walk up the the mobs, but I still live when I have them on me. =P

(though, for some reason, and maybe I'm not the only one, but I have aggro mobs ignore me often even if they could whip my tail easily <.<, I blame my lucky uhm... left eye! for that one. ^^; )

Vere... Your sig rules!

Personally Ive notice a difference when I carry my 2,3 and 4 leaf mandy buds with me.

I was with Ceram in SSG getting his test the other day we were getting a drops left right and centre and with no TH :) Test after Test and some otehr goodies . . . Well Ceram has an accident with his Maat fight and has to get a new test, he was in SSG for a few hours before he gave up not getting a test.

Another thing Ive noticed is when I chocodig . . . I mind I dig up alot of items when I carry these leaves with me and once I left them in MH to clear some room and I was disapointed that I did . . .

Now there was probally a billion factors the effected these 2 situations but heck you never know they might have some hidden effect that arnt that easy to measure.

Thanks guys. I ask myself time and time again why I even listen to the info on alla anymore.

Lucky egg was used on 2 out of 3 times of me getting PCC in bcnm. hehe. So, I'm gonna eat them for the hell of it anytime I do "Under Observation", superstition or not. :P

Some people will swear by lucky rabbit foots and the like. They TRUELY believe it is lucky, me personaly I think all the hidden TH effects are BS.

Good to see millionaire's desk is going back down. Not back down to 200k yet, but people are finally coming around and facing the reality of the game that a blm can't have TH5. I haven't seen someone bragging about their mandy leaves, desk, and egg in the party thread or idle linkshell chat for about three or four months. Hopefully they're getting more rare and it's not just me keeping them away from myself.

Those buds never gave me any lucky side-effects. When eating them, I never saw my MP fully heal, or my bloodpact timer reset instantly. Nor did I ever get transported away from the mundane killing that is Kazham, nor did I witness every single power leveller and idiot party in the zone drop to the ground and die. Oh well, I can dream.

That data does not list day/moon which can have an even bigger effect then TH.

I'd like to see them try to get only 14 meats with no TH again. Look at the TH killshot variance. TH killshot is BS as well, yet it shows a difference. If you were to try it again, however, you would be just as likely to see TH beat TH-killshot, and no TH to beat lucky egg only. Even a small percentage of the time you'd see TH2 beaten. 100 just isn't very powerful, and any small differences you see are easily rendered insignificant statistically.

In spite of what it appears, the data actually shows what people have said all along. That TH and TH2 show an effect, and that killshots and extra items are not statistically significant.
