Jay-Z's album is pretty hot.
I give it a 8.5/10. Here's my *basic* review that I posted on the IGN boards.
Fallin - Very nice track, one of my top favorites from the album(prob 2nd or 3rd). Nice beat, and sick lyrics. 9/10
IGNorant **** - My personal favorite track of the album. Jay kills it in this song, and the beat is SICK. Song is old, with a couple stuff added into it. Still a awesome song. 9.5/10
Success - Very nice again with the lyrics, and overall sound. Nas and Jay doing their thing again(yay). LET THAT ***** BREATHE! 9/10
Hello Brooklyn 2.0 - Wayne killed this song(In a bad way), my least favorite song of the album. 6/10
No Hook - All lyrics here, but they're pretty good. 8/10
Blue Magic - Eh, I like the song, but I felt like something was missing. 7/10
Roc Boys - Now this is a "single". The horns KILLED it in this song. Decent lyrics, and great overall sound. 8/10
Pray - Nice beat, and Beyonce ftw. But seriously though, nice song, liking the overall sound. 8/10
I Know - Neptunes did a nice job on the beat, decent song. 8/10
American Dream - My man...I personally like this song a lot. Nice lyrics, and overall feel to this song. 8/10
American Gangster - Good lyrics, and killer beat. Liking the overall sound of this song. 8/10
Sweet - Love the old school feeling in this song. Nice lyrics 8/10
Party Life - Couldn't really get into the song. 7/10
Overall - I'm LOVING the feeling of the old gangster sound overall. Really digging a lot of the songs on this album. Really the only ones I can't get into is Party Life, and Hello Brooklyn.
American Gangster(album) - 8.5/10
