Since I am a fucking Idiot, and decided to Mule some equiptment, I am now unable to log in....

So I thought an interestign topic of discussion, The 'San' Class Ninjitsu.

We already heard that Ninja being a tank was an unexpected Side Effect of the job. It's probably why we won't get any more ninjitsu ever again.

However...

What had SE planned out for the Sans? More Damage? More Shadows?

Would Utsusemi be a Stoneskin instead of 5 shadows? Would the recast be insanely long? Or the cast time? Would they use possibley more than one tool to use?

I solo up there a lot. I have yet to see "The Yagudo Assassin starts casting Utusemi: San" "The Yagudo Assassin gains the effect of Copy Image."

I do admit i see them cast Jubaku: Ni. But NEVER seen a San spell.

It is however interestign to see how mobs use the Ninja job isn't it? They keep a distance and spam ranged attacks and Nnijitsu. Imagine if they blink-tanked us.

I think the one I saw use it was one of those NMs in that room behind the door with the 2 switches, ya know, where you go to do part of G3, the 2 NMs with Truesight are in there.
 
Mobs in Dynamis-Beaucidine (either that one or xarcabard) use it.. its purely for mobs. NIN using it would be stupidly overpowered, they will never get it unless they nerf ninja tanking alltogether.
 
still nice to think about tho eh? i think it might be useful to explore the possiblilities of NIN as a DD or something else. SE doesnt nerf without purpose i think. they might just be trying to push us in the direction the intended for NIN.
 
Ive always kinda thought of NIN as a support/DD kinda a job. Like they use their enfeebling ninjitsu to...well enfeeble and then use their elemental ninjitsu to do some damage. Then they dual wield whatever for damage reasons and use blinks just incase they pull too much hate so that the tank can get hate back. In all honestly I think this would be reasonable for a DD. I mean I have heard about some Ninjitsu spells doing more damage then nukes at times. Then you could dual weild some weapon with a axe or something in your main hand and a katana in your off hand so that you have a reliable sorce of TP.

Just a Ninja DD idea I have had. I wish I could play my NIN like this, I would probally find it a lot more enjoyable this way. I mean I would still be spending gil but at least I wouldent have to tank (I'm not crazy about tanking, just leveling NIN for a RDM sub)
 
Except that, you CAN be an enfeeblist/weapon DD/elemental DD/SC partner all 'while' tanking with some minor exceptions in the equipment area.
 
True, and I suppose that is how Ninjas keep hate anyway now that I think about it. Still when I first heard of Ninja before I joined I never did think of them as being tanks. Actually I wonder who thought up of making them tanks exactly? Okay going off topic...>.>

Mob Ninjas farm Gil Sellers, and so they don't have the same problems paying for Shurikens that normal players do...

I am writing SE to ask that they grant us the 20 shadows those bastards in Promyvion get.

I don't recall anything having shadows in Promvyion. O.o;
 
promyvions are a joke now, they nerfed them to make them so much easier. it irritates me that people complain about them now, they used to be much more difficult.

Yeah this was pre-nerfafied Promy. And it wasn't even the boss! o.O

Still, I am demanding that SE bring it back for PCs, or else I am having Careface send them a dirty message.
