MacBooks are bad for your health... literally

OT: I think it is some humbug from Windows/PC's. I mean they started fighting back with those commercials, which i thought was fucking awesome by the way. I tip my hat to Bill after that one.

If MacBooks cause cancer I'm sure it's not just limited to them and that other laptops do as well. There are so many, many different things that they say cause cancer and we still use them.

That could be the case but I recall reading something about there being a harmful liquid in the glowing apple but that it would only be a problem if it was broken. Maybe since the macbooks had an overheating problem it caused the liquid to emit gases. I dunno I dont have the paperwork for my mac in front of me so im kinda winging it.

If the bolded part is true, the only thing part closest to it would be the LCD, and that just doesn't get hot enough to cause any type of reaction... that is unless the liquid has a ridiculously low heat tolerance.

Since LCD's use liquidated crystals :durrr: I'm guessing the only way it'd get hot enough is if you left the brightness on really high for a very long time...and the screen would burn out long before anything cancerous could happen. I agree with Stines point of that theres a lot that "can cause cancer" but we still use it. It's not even limited to cancer. I'ma make a thread outta that, thanks Stine.
