What do your macros look like on your main job?

I was asking Firestreak about it in the flameboard, but this isn't a flame of anykind, so I'm bringing it here. List them out like I have so we can keep things uniform. This should be good information for people just getting to the 60+ stages of the game.

If a Piece of equipment is listed, that means the macro is equiping it. No need for all that /ja /ma /equip /pet and all that mess.

If you have fluff, use /p to start that out. that'll let us know that you SUCK!!!! naw j/k. You don't suck, you're just annoying :-p

Why bother with a seperate macro to equip your nuking equipment - control 6, with your nuking macros? Now if an extra slot for /recast is the issue, I don't see anything that equips a hat, or a tunic that replaces your hat, so I don't see the reason to put AF hat in. You could have your nuke macros equip weskit rope, legs and body.

Now as long you're ditching control 6, consider ditching control 7. and 8,

Consider putting a /heal command right inside your macro that equips your hMP gear. Then instead of using * or hitting R3 on your gamepad or whatever you do, you'll just hit that macro instead to rest. Once the macro becomes how you rest, you won't ever have to actively think about switching in gear. It simply will happen when you rest. Stick this in control 8 as hierarch was obviously for that.

Just freeing up those 2 macros, you now have slots for blink and stoneskin! I'm not exactly sure what control 7 was for, I'll assume for max int for when you aren't nuking. For whatever spells you want this for(drain maybe? enfeebles?), just put the max INT gear swaps directly into the spell macro, or possibly the MND if that's what you wanted out the errant gear.

Well, I have 3 sets in all for BLM (4 if you count my kirin set for all the nukes I use and different equip swaps).

Mainly these are 1- CTRL=Tier III nukes ALT=Aga III nukes 2- CTRL=Tier IV nukes ALT= AM (don't ask... =\ ) 3- CTRL = Elemental Debuffs ALT = Enfeebles (sleep, slow, blind, aspir, drain etc.)

But I use alot of windower macros, all my gear changes are done with windower macros so I can fit more into them, I also have a resting macro that triggers if I press CTRL+H or * above the numpad. What this does is equip my maximum MP set up, and +HMP gear, so that I can rest up to the max and have some free mp for buffs etc.

For my summoner macros I decided to try and go all windower macros, and it gets very complicated, for example Alt+F# to summon an avatar, Ctrl+F# for spirits etc, and it also has what I like to call dynamic macros, so even though Alt+4 is my general bloodpact macro, it changes to the best BP for whatever summon I have out. I also have a healing macro system in that which I find works very well.

i had one set on war

CTRL 1 report
2 berserk w. /recast
3 aggroes (sp) w. /recast
4 war cry w. /recast

alt 1 uni ichi
2 uni ni
3 /recast spells
4 /recast all JAs

As a bst, I use a LOT of macroes, some purely gear swap, most not.

I've actually got two sets devoted to bst macroes - one for xp and the other for capped events that I tailor to the gear that I'll be using.

Ctrl
1 Charm Kite (swaps out staff and axe to skip the animation)
2 DS + Cure III (swaps in staff and Gaudy Harness)
3 Blink/Stoneskin (swaps in Gaudy)
4 Earring swap
5 Weaponskill (swaps in STR gear)
6 TP, <pettp> report
7 Pet swap
8 Charm gear
9 Fighting gear
10 Reward (swaps in pet food and MND gear)

Alt
1 Leave(with Familiar,Reward /recasts and yet some more gear swappage)
2 Tame(swaps in Tame gear)
3 Call Beast (swaps in my favorite pet de jeur)
4 Regen
5 Body swap
6 Stay
7 Charm
8 Heel/Fight
9 Fight
10 Sic(with an echo for pet tp)

Well... this was before they all got deleted because my computer randomly shut down on me... >_<

Ctrl
1. Fire III
2. Blizzard III
3. Thunder III
4. Stone IV
5. Water III
6. Aero III
7. MB #1 --This and 8 change depending on party/situation
8. MB #2
9. Aspir
0. Elemental Seal

Alt
1. Stun
2. Paralyze
3. Slow
4. Silence
5. Bio II
6. Sleep II
7. AM MB macro(dunno why I still have it)
8. Resting Gear
9. Casting Gear(also used for resetting gear after casting enfeeb, etc.)
0. MP check

For things Elemental Enfeebles I used the list and then hit respective elemental macro to change gear. Don't really use the Alt macros much besides Stun and Bio(and of course resting/casting gear), unless there's no enfeebler in the party.

I hardly ever use my Black Cloak anymore, so I don't have a macro for it. When I do use it, which is far and few between, I can just equip it real quick as I only have 5 body pieces in inventory (Weskit, af, Cloak, Errants, Fed Aketon), unlike weapons wich I have 9 of. It's nice to have a macro to put the hat and body back on When I do use it tho.

The Errant macro, is basiclly a sitting macro, but it has more -enmity on it than the weskit macro. That is why they are seperate. It also puts errant legs back on after Drain/aspir. Again, I rarely use this to nuke with. The macro will change as I get more gear.

I hate having sit tied to a macro that I may use for something else. It fucks me up and I make mistakes.

Stoneskin and blink macros aren't really neccesary. I find that if you have aquired hate, Stoneskin adds a LOT of hate to what you already have. It's best typed in and cast between battles. Blink... meh. If I have time, but I usually just use stoneskin.

Do ya think I should pick up a pair of Druid Slops? my elemental magic is just above the 300 mark. Quite a bit above it when casting Ice. Is it neccesary?

And how bout a Demon Helm? I see mages wearing them, but I don't think 1 more Int is worth it.

Forget all about -Enmity. It's practically useless by level 75. The fights are so much faster and your nukes pull so much hate that the only thing that'll protect you is overbearing power and bink stoneskin. Not like lower levels. So getting 6 int from Demon+1 you'll kill the mob faster which may be safer than more -enmity since you'll pull hate anyway. Forget about stoneskin/blink/phalanx related hate, it's nothing at this level.

Personally, my black cloak is gone. Some like it for dynamis, it might have uses for solo but I'd forget it in normal battle situations.

You can equip the Int gear in for drain/aspir directly. For every spell you can have up to 5 gear swaps directly for it. Just have to consider which 5 pieces you're moving.

Weapon, Legs, Belt, Body(, Head if you want for Black cloak)

Don't need gear swap macros if you have all the gear swaps you inserted into your spells.

As for those druid slops, I'd put a lower priority on them.

The other pieces that can give you 5 elemental magic?

Head, cape, feet. But they all will lose the respective INTs of 6, 4 and 3. For Druid slops you'll lose 8 int you could have from Mahatma legs. If you absolutely need the elemental for a fight like Kirin for example it can't hurt but of all elemental pieces you'll lose the most for those legs.
