I am putting FFXI on a new computer and just curious how I would transfer all my macros. I'm not complaining but I have a ton of macros I'd like to not remake on a whim.

Thanks in advance.

Copy the User folder in your FF program files, then just drop it back in when you re-install.

playonline\SquareEnix\Final Fantasy XI\USER there's the folders for your characters, just copy and paste those on the new computer.

Ok so I installed on a new computer, and now it keeps R0ing on me all the time. Is there any firewall setting I should change to allow FF on it? Its a new computer :(

Yes. It may not show up because of ffxi's NO WINDOWER crap, since I believe there is a firewall setting for PoL, and probably a separate one for ffxi.

I'm not sure what the port number would be though, as I'm at work and don't have access to the home machine ; ;

Best of luck to you.

I've been having that problem a lot lately myself, but it's being compounded by an unstable internet connection so I thought it was just my internet and not a problem with the windower or anything.

Anyone else having this problem or maybe knows how to fix it?

I can log on and stay on for a few mins and then get kicked. My connection has been crap as of late, but its not the connection because my messenger and net work. So I dont get it. Figures this wouldnt work lol. I hate PoL with such a passion, I cant even describe it. I mean who the hell makes a stupid addon program to a game that no one will ever use. Oh look in game email, oh so cool, yay. Idiots!! :mad::mad::mad:

This may not help you but it worked for me on some other games. A few nights ago Microsoft did an update for Live and some things to Vista (you said you have a new computer so I'm assuming it came packed with Vista). I could get inside the first lobby menus just fine for Lost Planet on my roomie's PC and my Xbox but I kept gettin' booted about 1-2 min. after I'd join a match lobby (Same for me with Gears of War). Yes, it happened on both my roomates PC (The LP PC player runnin' Vista) and me on my 360. All I did was update my router's firmware and reset everything after doing so. Seems a little odd, I know, but it worked. All of this is assumin' you use a router though, if not, I got nothin' :/
