Magian Trial Mix-Up

OK, I'm not complaining that this happened to me. Or just sort of found it odd. I was on my alt char 'Tuhali' in QCaves doing trials 592 and 594 for the Ninja Katanas and fire weather happened on earthday. Before this happened i had Unji in Main and the trial 592 Katana in sub hand. While fighting i noticed the change in weather and changed my main weapon to the trial 594 katana since it was fire weather and i needed to kill EP mobs to get credit. When i killed the sand lizard I got credit for both trial 592 and 594 (which makes sense.) Now here's the weird part. When the fire weather was over, I forgot to switch my 594 trial weapon out to bring back the unji. I killed the sand lizard and the counters for both trial 592 and 594 went down. This happened multiple times and I'm really grateful it did since i didn't wanna go to Ifrit's Cauldron to fight mobs all day hoping fire weather would appear. I stayed in the zone the whole time and didn't take a picture until the next day just because I wasn't thinking about taking one til then...

(Watersday + Earth weather: Trial 592 = Any weather+ lizard kills, Trial 594 = Fire weather + EP Mob Kills)

I tried to mimic this 'glitch' i guess you can say by doing what i did before in another area. But I couldn't 100% copy what i did before because of the weather change that satisfied both trial weapons' criteria. So I'm asking if anyone has had a similar thing happen to them and if you've gotten it to happen in a different way? I'm guessing the key to all this is changing weapons when the fire weather happened.

I'm not quite sure I understand, you had both trials active on the same character or one character's trial was spilling over into the other's log? If it's the first case, I thought that wasn't possible, and if it's the second case, I'd think that might just be a dual-box related glitch.
