Notice who has the most subs! lol.....and actually, /BLM works as a good solo sub for DRG as well.
 
Dunno if it has been said, but BRD/RDM too is pretty good for the fast cast.
 
i do like sam/drg based entirely on the fact that they can SC with theselves every time meditate is up... actually, with a good connection an a lil help from delequiox from the KI forums any sam can self SC with any sub every 3 mins. but sam/drg looks fun...
 
Paladin needs to be givin Provoke on it's own w/o the /WAR. Having only one realistic subjob choice bites something major.
 
only problem with that is if PLD was given a Voke type move Every PLD would sub Nin and almost become Invincible especially once they hit 74..

BUT constently castnig Ustsusmi would cut down the PLDs Hate gaining ablility. Casue you wouldnt be curing yourself constenty and gaining that extra hate.

what would be nice is like a Boost type move but instead of upping ATK it would up DEF
 
screw subbing nin, I'd only use that for big mobs n such. I'd sub thf or something for some dmg. PLD dmg = weak. Plus better damage means more hate anyway.

Your better off with Zerk and double attack then sata or SA. 150 dmg isn't gonna do much along the lines of dmg.

why the fuck would you sub thf as a pld? and if your looking for a DDing sub /war is it man. berserk, warcry, double attack, attack bonus up?


also there are already situations where a pld subs nin, so lvl it up kids it comes in handy.
 
I hear thf/mnk is good at low lvls I think its best pre 20 if you ask me. Ive seen a few thf/brds pre SA cuz that can at least do something for the pt besides fill a DD spot.
 
thf was just an example. Why sub nin and become the most expensive job by far ALWAYS having to buy ninja tools & let the white mage sit on his ass? Sub a good class that will give you some more dmg, let the whm do his job, more dmg = faster kills.

well besides utsumi your not really going to be using any tools when subbing ninja. if you even try anything else i'd laugh because it will get resisted.

/war is a dding sub. pld/war with the right gear can be decent DD's but they arn't meant to be large number ones. also, /nin wouldn't help consistantly. the evasion of a pld is far far far to low to be able to successfully BLINK TANK so you would still be taking damage which would keep a whm busy.

also, one last thing. a pld/nin will NEVER be the most expensive class in the game. I think ninja is the most expensive job to lvl, then again i've never lvl'd rng but i've made the ammo they use. I see rng as a lot cheeper then ninja still after being a supplier for them for 9 months.

Subbing monk would be far more beneficial for pld's than subbing nin. 2 max HP boosts, the tons of hp from just subbing monk, counter attack, focus, dodge, chakra(2x your vit restored as hp), boost. All of that would make pld a hell of a tank(even more so than they already are), but only if pld learned provoke on their own.
 
a PLD could still do really well as is right now with /MNK sub I believe. Atleast.. berserk has about half the hate as provoke and half the cast time so over all it will keep the same amount of hate as haste.. hmm I wonder.. does Chakra generate some hate? Focus and Dodge do too don't they? (atleast.. I think focus was a job ability and not a trait).
 
THF/DRK. Good HNM damage and you can stun! (being serious, its a good event sub :o)

Berserk doesn't give any hate. You're thinking of Warcry...

I'm pretty sure Boost gains hate but not so sure of Chakra. Still a good thing since Boost is on a 15sec timer

All JA's give hate, berserk just doesn't give very much hate. Chakra's hate is based on how much you heal for like other cures, I've turned mobs before with chakra. Boost's hate is a lot less than provoke's, so a pld/mnk wouldn't be able to hold hate well unless pld gets provoke.
 
I was thinking of boost XD (sleepy so was confusing the two :P). But ya.. talked it out with Ikari.. it wouldn't work as well as I was hoping T.T

That settles it, every job has a purpose subbed on dragoon.
