So, my BLM is 55 TNL 100~ and I have a 45 THF.
What should I level?
I hear BLM is getting nerfed in ToAU.
So, what do you guys think I should level?

I selected blm.

Really, both jobs are heavily populated and have clear uses.

I don't know anything about you as a person so I'm not given much to work with. So I choose blm because it's not extermely expensive, although it could be if you got all HQ staves.

Well, I have plenty of gil to spend.
When I quit I think I had around 1.5 mil.
I don't know what the prices are these days, but I'm sure 1.5 mil is enough to get decent gear.
And hairpin and boots are now rare/ex so I just have to camp them.

Also... BLMs aren't being nerfed in ToAU. They're trying to create different options, however.

Indeed. The only part of BLM that is getting "nerfed" is the all BLM burn parties. Apparently they're going to make it so that building a pt of 6 BLM's is not as appealing as it used to be.

I said BLM, they would need to some incredibly horrid things to BLM to make THF a more demanded job. Not saying they won't but... Plus I think BLM is alot more fun.

SE specifically said RNG damage would be adjusted.

This time around they've specifically said "We do not plan to weaken the job, but we want to create benefits for partying with other jobs.".

They do NOT plan to weaken it, but want to ADD benefits for balanced partying.

Nerfing manaburn would not be CREATING benefits.

Nerfing manaburning is a nerf to the BLM I don't care how you look at it. Nerfing is taking something that was once powerful and weakening it which is the case here, or hitting someone with a nerf toy of any sort.

If it was PvP I'd say go THF, but then again that's just because my assasin in DII was badass. Now that is a game that was about ganking.

Not really. Nerfing is tuning something well below the acceptable line, which is what happened to rangers. Balancing is the word you're thinking. Just because somethings balanced doesn't make it weak. And boy, do Black Mages need balanced. All the content and hurdles they skip over. Thats the issue, not thier overall damage. Because frankly, a lot of the time Black Mage is Suck when it comes to that.
