making a sig with my character

- Darknights should have a dark appearance
- Arcane Garden sounds beautiful.
- Lightning makes everything better =D
- Made with 3 programs. Adobe photoshop, Image ready, Maya.
- Possibly the first sig/or one of few signatures made right off a PS2 pic.
- Scyth had to remain on same side when i flipped the character.
- The Cave is real. (Obviously darkened and modified)
- 13 layers ( or was it 14) used.

I forgot to use depth of feild, that might have made the back layer where the opening is hard to read though. I'm glad you like it.

I feel good about it
 
wow that sig is badass...never seen the lightning effect used so nicely like that. impressive job ant!

The sig looks great Ant! I understand why you used Photoshop and Image Ready, but where did you use Maya?

I used Maya for the text that says "Arcane Garden" Originally it was metalic gold, but it wasn't working too well. I never wanted to spend too much time on on the text (Which i already did cause i used Nurbs to make them) and i never wanted to correct the whole look of it. It was kind of a waste of time to actually model the text since i could have slanted the text in photoshop, so i threw in a few sphere's with the same texture i used for the text.

I know it was a waste of time, Originally i was planning on giving the text, i thin hill running along the surfaces. I spend around 4 hours into making this sig, and decided stop what i'm doing and move onto getting it done.
 
OMFG I can't believe you used Maya to make slanted text! That's the funniest thing I've heard in a long time!
 
It's not really slanted, it's just how it's facing the camera. I just crossed them and took a picture.

Originally i was planing on making it actually look real. But then it hit me how much it would clash with the rest of the imagery. So i refrained from making the text demensional and just stoped working on it all together.

I know it's silly, but i was spending too much time on something that needn't be so great for someone i never met. As i don't like to see my own work get old, "maybe" i will make it better and make the modeled text better and actually put some decient lighting into it.
