Courtesy on one side can never last long. For the most part the religious afford no courtesy to non-believers, and in return, they get what they give.

Besides, it's more admirable to speak your mind than to censor your thoughts for fear of insulting someone.

I love how this is a flameboard and people are on here and cant deal with the little shit. Obviously you have learned by now it was a joke. Personally I dont need some 18 year old kid telling me what is ok for me to say or not. Worry about yourself.

That doesn't exactly work around here. Try being courteous to everyone instead of trying to make yourself laugh. Something thats sometimes hard to realize, and something I've had a problem with myself in the past, your personal brand of humor doesn't exactly translate onto a message board. Those that know you well that read it, might get it. But a lot of other people? Usually not. Don't be so defensive, I'm just giving advice.

I am not being defensive. You are allowed to say what you wish. I said I was joking and I didnt mean to ruffle feathers a page or so back. Guess you didnt read that.

I did read that. Let's not get into a battle of 'You didn't read my post', alright? I'm just trying to save you the trouble of making yourself look bad. You're getting defensive of 'Dude don't read my shit if you don't like it' when obviously the majority of people reading this thread disagree with your statement. Could they have perhaps gone about saying that better? Most likely. Does it change the fact that people took offense to something you said, that is pretty serious in their eyes? No.

You can't change the fact that feathers were indeed ruffled, after the fact. The best option, usually, is to just bow out and admit a misjudgement. That's it, no big deal.

Thats pretty blunt, and trying to 'ruffle more feathers'. You're new to this board, and the only posts I've seen outside of flameboard spam are myspacece-esque pics in the real life pics thread. Learn to listen first, then post your 'funny' jokes later. Hint: I'm not an 18 year old kid telling you what to do. I'm offering a suggestion if you'd like any credibility in the future.

I wouldn't worry too much about your flame board reputation. There was nothing wrong with what you said, people get bent out of shape about stupid stuff. Religion has been something to make fun of for the past 3500 years or so. That's not going to change any time soon.
