Mar. 11, 2008 (JST) Update Details

Yea, I was aware it was movement speed. My point was combining the counter JA with the haste cap makes a heavy hitting GA with DA gear look much more productive for the time being.

Ah ic, I didn't even look at it that way...I wonder if you can gain TP on the counters as well unlike MNK and Seigan counters...

The original discussion said you could, whether that holds true or not is another story.

Its only gonna make hagun that much better because if you have 300% u use that move pop off a 200% ws for 100 tp then you are still at 200% tp and pop off another a 300% modded WS

So you get a 200tp ws and a 300tp WS for 300tp. They just got rid of the only reason to keep a Shinsoku which is for a starter WS when you know you are going to be at 300% tp.

I'd imagine that if you'll only be spending 100 TP on a WS, then you'll only get the effect of a 100 TP WS.

yay nothing for paladin^^

as for the exp ring only holding one saw that coming and if it is anything like the other rings you will have to wait till next conquest update to pick up your new one... good job SE for having this introduced the day after.... but then i tossed my empress band yesterday

goodbye rdm update? =/

the spirit ability looks like a nice change, thought it'd be a job ability

nice move on reducing reward timers as well

personally I'd increase the mining level requirement and make one for fishing imo
I don't know that enspell update might be a blessing or a curse. Hope that not the update for rdm improvement though.
My eyes hurt from reading all that:omg:

Wasnt there supposed to be some damage reflect ability for PLD?

what do you mean by blessing or a curse?

enspells are hardly make or break since their uses are currently limited

Hagun and a few other weapons from ENMs (Martial weapons, etc.) have the effect TP Bonus which allows the WS to do the damage as if you had 100 extra TP up to 200% which would cap it at 300% TP. So if you had 100 TP, you'd do a WS comparable to 200 TP and with 200 TP, you can do a 300 TP damage WS. For SAM where TP heavily effects damage on weaponskills, Hagun is one of if not the best weapon.

Well one the reasons they are not used often is because you normally hitting 1-2 because they get heavily resisted. If they make it so that they are much less resistant; IE they hit the full 18+ dmg for someone with a good enhancing setup up, it will be worth using. Also buffing rdm melee dmg for how ever you may use it. Curse comes for rdm that sch gives it to all party members so doubt it is the front line update se was talking about.

you would think, however this is not the case. Thats another thing thats so good about Meiko Shisui. Each WS fired is still moded by the current tp, not the tp spent. So being able to rip out 2 consecutive 300 tp WS's is some crazy damage.

Deja your gona have to explain what you said again cus i couldnt quite follow. If im reading it right, it sounds like you're saying the JA is an insta recast, which... ya, not gona happen. Plz clarify that for me. ^^

New armor set storing NPCs have been added to the following areas:
Southern San d'Oria /Bastok Markets /Windurst Waters

THANK GOD!!

Ugh, kinda back... a little early.... with a carppier connection. Long story. <_<;

EDIT: Back on topic. I wonder if Addendum: White >> Accession >> Reraise II would work too. ^^;
isn't Addendum: White a job trait?

Well +18 is not the highest enspell damage it's 23(if you use fencer's ring) for rdm, not counting hollow earring which is another 3 but I hardly see people get it.

If you count weather or day that's an additonal possible 1-3 damage at most. I can say that multiple weather has increased effect but not sure how much precisely.

Sch can do the aoe version of rdm spells now if they sub rdm, it was out well before the "frontline update"(?).

According to wiki enspells can achieve a 20 damage base, so add fencer's(5), hollow, (3), and weather(1-3) you should be able to get up to 31 on a lucky blow.

Soulds more like a JA.... b/c they say you don't have access to said spells unless Addendum is active.

I assumed they ment its spells that you can only use while in light/dark arts.

What I mean is this:
Addendum: Light is a Job Trait only active while in Light Arts, and gives you extra access to spells that you can only use in Light Arts. That means you can cast all your normal Light spells while in Dark Arts, but you won't have access to the spells only castable with the Addendum: Light job trait that is active in Light Arts. This means you can cast Raise while in Dark Arts, or without an Arts active. However, Raise II would be castable all the time, but ONLY while in Light Arts.

He wasn't referring to Meiko Shisui, he was referring to the usefulness of Hagun which acts as if the WS damage is 100 TP more than it really is. In other words, if you're sitting at 300 TP, you can use the new job ability to do a 100 TP WS. That WS when used with a Hagun acts as if it's 200 TP damage wise. Then you're left with 200 TP (+ TP from WS) which you again use with Hagun for a WS that does damage like it was 300 TP.

Addendum: White (Lv.10)
Allows access to additional White Magic spells while using Light Arts.

Addendum: Black (Lv.30)
Allows access to additional Black Magic spells while using Dark Arts.
That's what made me think its a Job Trait, and not an ability.

However, this makes it slightly harder to decide if its a Job Trait or Job Ability
- Scholars will now be able to cast additional white and black magic spells while using the new job abilities “Addendum: White” and “Addendum: Black”.
These additional spells will be added to a scholar’s magic lists after being acquired, but will only be selectable when under the effect of “Addendum: White” or “Addendum: Black”.
Guess we'll have to see 'till .dat mining is available.

Could go either way. We'll fine out when the servers come back up. ^^;
