I thought that too, but here's a JP magazine scan from back when PE3 was announced:

My friends brother is stationed in japan. He got a free cell phone there that blows away all of our like 400 dollar ones >_> its crazy

bumping this up cause I wanna ask, is there an english version coming now with the FFXIII demo? O.o cause it seems there is since there was an english trailer for FFVII ACC at E3 but ya, I wanna make sure.

No XIII demo since it's releasing on 360 and PS3 here and they didn't have a working 360 build of the demo.
NA FFVII ACC is with a new trailer of FFXIII, which will probably be the one shown at E3.

Bah, fucking BS... who gives a shit if there wouldn't be a 360 demo? They already built one for the PS3, just translate the text, don't even care about the voices.. I wanna try the actual game's gameplay >.> I'll worry about characters/story when the game comes out :P If it really is cause they would feel the 360 would have to get one too, than fucking hate that the 360 even exists atm XD but I really don't think it's JUST that.. I'm betting they just don't want to do the work to translate for a demo.

Sounds like something i would want in my contract automatically if i was MS. If you can not make the demo for one of the consoles in time then it shouldnt be released on the other. They are fighting for sales on these multiplats Ele. A demo released on one console over the other may be the edge in sales for the long run. Really it makes sense.. I understand its not in your best interests, or the average fan, but when do these companies really show they are in it for you? lol

If I was MS or Sony I wouldn't want my competition to have anything, let alone anything I don't have. Of course that's what they want, and of course it's in our best interest as customers to have everything possible for every console. The question on my mind is would there even be a demo anyway? I am not going to assume it's the big bad Microsoft monster here. To be honest, I don't think Microsoft was in any position to demand jack shit when 13 went multiplatform. It's not like they were going to say, "NO YOU CAN'T RELEASE THIS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED GAME ON OUR SYSTEM TOO UNLESS YOU KILL THE PS3 DEMO!!!" It was never coming because they didn't want to slow their already snail paced production down to translate more english shit before they finish their Japanese version... that's their priority market.

I don't think it's Microsoft either tbh, I'm betting it's SE being lazy :( ah well..

The FFXII demo featured no voice work, and preset gambits.
Just sayin'.

To my surprise, my PS3 played Advent Children Complete. HUGE IMPROVEMENT! It's much more satisfying than AC was first time around. One problem though is that it's STILL terribly lip synched. Other than that, ACC is actually a decent movie.

Nothing seems better from what I saw >.> seems to all be the same kinda crap lol, much action, poor character and story development. At least the fights are even better I guess hehe and cloud is SLIGHTLY less emo... only slightly...

you must not have payed any attention to the original film then, because there was plenty of noticeable differences and additional pieces that really helped the movie come together better.

id also recommend playing through Crisis Core if you have a PSP , as Advent Children COMPLETE has a few references to the game

over all i thought the additions to the film and upgrade to 1080 was well worth my money, then again i am a big final fantasy 7 fan

I'm a fan of FF7 but I'm not going to deny my movie criticness either :P I take a movie for that movie only, that's why I'm kinda pissed people bitch about The Spirits Within yet praise this garbage. As a movie, it's garbage, where as TSW had good characters, good plot, good development, and was also entertaining. Though I guess I am trying to think of FF7 AC as something more than fanservice which it really isn't lol

Man i agree Ele. Spirits Within was a hell of a lot better then Advent Children. And i am a FF7 fan.. I have the blu-ray of AC and i dont feel any different about the movie then i first did. I just love AC as a visual showcase.

The reason it gets such a bad rap is because it had Final Fantasy in the title, and lets face it -- it was a horrible Final Fantasy movie.

Well if you think about it TSW wasn't too far away from the realistic sci-fi style of FFVIII, which was at the time the latest FF available if I'm not mistaken. They just went straight up sci-fi with the movie and there really wasn't any Fantasy.. or what we expected of something with the title 'Final Fantasy'. Still it was a pretty good movie.

I also really enjoyed FF: AC though. Not just because it was pretty, but because it did let us see what had become of our FF7 characters in a not too distant future from the end of the game. They worked in elements from the game to create the plot of the movie and pretty much just went with that. Having Sephiroth come back again was kind of... silly, but you know.. it's fucking Sephiroth. He can do what he wants.

I enjoyed Spirits Within as well, and I also think it shouldn't have used the Final Fantasy name. It was a better overall movie than Advent Children, but Advent Children is the only one of the two I bought on blu-ray because it was the only one I'd actually watch more than once. Advent Children did, however, match up with my pre-viewing expectations a lot more than Spirits Within did.

Spirits Within actually had a plot(AC's plot was shit), but Advent Children had much better visuals and awesome fight scenes; and that's why I wanted to watch the movie. I knew the characters, I wasn't figuring there'd be a decent plot(good thing too); I just wanted to see super hi-res versions of the characters fight in really cool ways, and that's exactly what I got.

I disliked them both. I didn't think Advent Children was good with or without the FF expectations. It was fairly boring either way. Advent Children was just obviously a giant visual showcase. It was said that someone enjoyed to see what happened to the FF characters, NOT ME. I loved FF7 but I really loved the ending, which left a mystery in the player's minds because we don't know what the lifestream did, and it was hinted that it may have destroyed all the humans. To me, that made it more interesting, us having to decide for ourselves what we think happened. Just coming out and saying is not only pointless and boring but it takes away from the mystery.

I have to agree, while I have actually enjoyed the FF7 compilation (even Durge of Cerberus :P though I won't say that game is great XD just decent), I liked FF7's open ending. I loved it cause it left you to imagine what happens and it really also seemed quite possibly to be a much more.. interesting and unique ending had the world ended human life :P but.. ah well.

Spirits Within demolished an entire division Square had set up to make movies.
Think about that.

Only because they used Final Fantasy in the title; the movie itself was not bad at all, just no non-gamers went to go see it because it was named after a video game.
