March 7 Update Details

The method for obtaining the items listed below has been adjusted.
The monsters that dropped these items now have a chance of dropping an EX/Rare item with the exact same attributes.

Fuma Kyahan/Speed Belt/Ochiudo's Kote/Strider Boots/Healing Staff/Eurytos' Bow/Cross-Counters

- The Notorious Monsters listed below now require a certain item to be traded in a certain location in order to appear.

Oh wow ... Ullikummi Force pop now that freakin awesome, now we only get to see lines of LS's trying to pop him lmao D: Im sure the pop item will be about as rare as Water lol.

lol, at least we dont have to camp Ulli anymore :O. The LS is gonna love this once we find out how to obtain the pop item lol.
 
Question about the new update to making certain items rare/ex:

What happens to the items if they are currently owned? Do they become rare/ex?

For example, if I have a pair of cross-counters, and when I login tonight... will those now be rare/ex?

If thats true, lets say I had my pair on the AH, what happens to them now?

Or

Does this mean that when you go to kill the NM for that particular drop, you will only be able to obtain a rare/ex version from now on?

They remain as is.

Correct.

This is speculation based on how it was done in the past.

It said that the NM had a "chance" of dropping a r/ex item, not that it would only drop r/ex.

And this update is made of pure win!! Who says SE wasn't actually doing something to stop RMT LMAO. They may only say "they will look in to it", and this might be what happens when they do...

It also said that in the past updated when they changed VE and LL. They now drop only r/e versions.

They say "chance" because it's not a 100% drop.

Mind you they pretty much said the same thing too when they changed LL/VE/etc
The way that the following items are acquired has been changed:
Archer Ring, Leaping Boots, Emperor Hairpin, Peacock Charm
In addition, players may receive an EX/Rare or EX item with the same attributes from the monsters who previously dropped each of the above items.

Thank you, and thanks to the others that posted too. Just needed some clarification on it :shok:
 
This is the most important update in this game since the DEC 2003 update (added <Stun> for BLMs and <Reraise III> for WHM. Oh, and raised the lvl Cap to 75 too).

ps. Eliminated avatar perpetuation when using Astral Flow too. Nice update that was! ^^

Cant wait to start on Sozu. Stopped camping him after being 0/10 and watching rmts use bots to get claim. Awesome update glad I didn't retire like I had planned.
