Yeah im actually engaged too. I knew her for a grand total of not even two days. It adds to my roleplaying and she is a lot of fun to talk to. Of course she is a moneytrap lol...

For those of you curious i did a lot of searching before i found out what i needed to know so here is what youll need.

Dates - up to 3 and mondays and tuesdays are off limits. I suggest planning for a month or so later
Bride - Name - Race - Job
Groom - Name - Race - Job
Type - Sandorian, Bastokian, Windurstian, Jeunoian?
Location - Apparently you can specify where but i dont know how. They give you a few areas to choose from which vary in price
Size - 3-10, 11-18, 19-36 Number changes price
Wedding dress - Yes or no...pay at the time of the wedding

Im nervous and anxious...its a lot of fun though
 
So far from my experience it is dang near impossible to get married. Glide & I applied as soon as it was possible to for NA to do so. Applications are choosen on a lottery basis. Btw the groom & bride can not submit their own application, you must choose a chaperone to do this for you. Our first application was not selected from their "lottery" so we applied again with 3 new dates. Once again a rejection letter "we are sorry to announce your application was not selected at this time" So we applied yet a third time and yay, finally we have been approved to be married... 3 months from now. =/

Well, let me know when it'll be. I'll gladly attend.
 
Lol DeviFoxx just wants to breakup the party!! Jokes. How come you want to go to marriages so badly Devi? Just curious...lol...please dont think im saying this in a rude way at all as i cant really express just simple curiousity without it sounding wrong.
 
OMG - still amazed that people actually want to get married to other real players in the game. From what I have been told, you get to share the mog house (and everything in it) and you can never get divorced. Yes/No?

So... marrying a real person in the game seems a bit risky. Marry the wrong person and they could clean you out :shock: . I had always just assumed people would want to marry their own mules. That way they can have a character at home to maintain the house (gardening, auction house checks, purchase new items and drop it in delivery service, etc.) and their real character would never actually need to travel back home.
 
No you dont get to share the mog house or anything like that. There are no actual benefits or rewards to getting married other than getting wedding bands.

You and I both seem to be having the same problem, my dear. My good friend Zelion and I have both applied for our respective weddings... (We are each other's chaperones.) We applied about three weeks ago. No response... We tried to re-apply again, and received an error saying that we already had an application in process. He applied for early August, myself for late July. What, are they waiting to tell us the day before?! Squenix is being a BIG pain in the ass with this marriage system. I'm not very pleased.

I just thought it'd be fun to attend a wedding of a friend.

Quite possibly I might be on that "list" soon. I have some "personal choices" I need to make before I dive into it.

I figure somewhere down the road, there might be patches later that give married couples benefits.

But yeah, why wouldn't you want one of your friends to attend your wedding?

Unless... you don't... like me... *sniffles* ... *wipes tears from eyes* :cry:
 
Heh, see I figured there would be a lot of chaos when the marriages were first introduced. That's why me and my Otiluke decided to wait awhile before applying to get married. We've almost got all 130k we need; I've farmed 65k and sent it to one of my mules for safe keeping, and my fiancé is gonna mine some zinc ore to get his Tenshodo fame up, then I'm gonna help him do the Tonko and Utsusemi quests so he can sell the scrolls (though Utsusemi would probably pay the whole wedding with money to spare ^^;; ). Then I guess after awhile we'll have our chaperone (a friend of mine named Veteran) send in the application for us. To me, though... that's the easy part. The hard part will be organizing it so that all our guests can make it. :?
 
I'd just like to announce that Yomiku and I are getting married! yay! We're aiming for August 28th but we'll see what the lottery gives us. We're going to be holding it in behind the Rhinostery where the cool flowers bloom...feel free to stop by (food and refreshments for all who come , etc.)....hope to see you there!

And it looks like everyone wants to get married in that Rhinostery spot, lol- that's the place I have picked out for my wedding, if I ever actually get some money . . . >_> At this rate it won't be til November though. *shrugs*
 
Good to know your coming Fellina...i don't know any of Yomi's other LS mates as of yet so feel free to say hi if you see me....i'm currently harvesting like crazy in w.saru. And yeah, the wedding party is only 11-18, but everyone is welcome to come and join the celebration...we are goin to have catering so don't be shy^^

edit: Thanks for the good well wishing Kyrial and everyone else as well! The Rhinostery(sp) is indeed a popular spot...for a very good reason - It's sooo beautiful!^^
