Anyone pick this up yet? I seen Osy playing it.
My and my friend pulled an all day and nighter beating the pro-reg side in one sitting of about 13 hours. I must say, Pretty damn epic story! It was alot of fun to play and it really only felt like about 5 hours of play to us because we were so into it and had so much fun, when it was over and we checked the time we couldnt believe it had been that long and we hadnt even tackled the anti-reg side.
Though there are some things that irked us.
First off, the alternative costumes...majority of them are utter crap. They look horrible.
I can count on one hand the ones we actually thought were decent. Spider-man, Daredevil, Ice-man, Venom, Gambit are the only ones i can think of off hand that didnt fully disappoint.
What the hell is wrong with The Thing, and Venom character designs?! Their bodies are very out of proportion looking. Their arms are way too long and their legs look weird.
Why does venom's face look like he has down syndrome?! his eyes are super small and pushed in and his face just looks wrong. Only his alternative costume makes him look a little better because it covers up his eyes.
Some characters are just too weak and their super powers dont do them justice, Off hand i can think of Iceman, Human torch and Penance to be pretty weak and quick to die. Penance being the number one on that list since he has to take damage to output a higher amount of damage.
The dialogue is pretty funny at times since they say so much in battle, we actually laughed alot while playing this. "Theres been a B.O.F. sighting! BIG ORANGE FIST!"- The Thing "You guys should have asked the developers for a bigger health bar"- Deadpool
After completing the game you get some pretty funny audio files, The hulk ku poem, the hulk radio interview and Deadpool complaining to the game developers. The poem is hilarious though.
I played a small part of the anti-reg side on solo before my friend came over and we started from the beginning in co-op, characters have different sayings depending on their chosen side which is pretty cool.
All in all i pretty much think this game TRUMPS MUA1, i cant even think about going back to play that one because this one was so awesome. And alot of the characters you meet that you cannot play as leaves the door open for DLC characters. I do feel they didnt include as many playable characters as i hoped for, but maybe DLC will bring some great items in and maybe some more story additions.
And as a tip that i discovered, The best fusion i had found was The Thing and Songbird. Their fusion kinda breaks the game haha.
When i discovered it and the massive damage it does, We used it in every boss battle and took out every single boss insanely fast on the second hardest difficulty (you cant unlock legendary until first completion).
Songbird puts the thing into a pink force field like ball with spikes on it and you control the thing as he runs around inside this ball while you spam A (on xbox) for faster speed, And you just run into and around the enemy and watch the damage rack up.
Once you have those two characters, switch em in at every boss battle or area where tons of enemies attack you, and make it a cake walk!
