New packs coming out with new heroes and villains , the update will include eight new heroes--four villains and four heroes. The lineup will include heroes Hawkeye, Nightcrawler, The Incredible Hulk, and Cyclops, while the villains pack will include baddies Venom, Sabretooth, Dr. Doom, and Magneto. Each pack will be sold separately for 500 Microsoft points ($6.25), and you'll have the option to buy both for 800 points ($10).
 
They'd be wonderful additions to the game (go-go Nightcrawler!). Part of me still balks at the whole "microtransaction" idea, 'cause I know they won't be happy until I've paid for the game twice.

Still... gotta have Doom.
 
The Incredible Hulk should have been in the game from the start. That was a glaring oversight as far as I was concerned.

It's your standard beat-'em-up dungeon crawler, but it's kind of addicting. If you've played the X-men Legends game, it's pretty much a clone of that. Of course, this time the team can fight/meet anyone from the Marvel universe and there are a great deal of cameo's and thing to see. It's kind of a nostalgic feeling you get when playing it.

The RPG elements to it are pretty decent. Nothing completely groundbreaking, but it's a tried & true formula. I guess if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
 
so, has anyone heard a date? i know when i read the intial release it said sometime in april, but april is here and i want to know lol.

actually just read on gamespot that its next week. thats what the developers have said.
 
I'm hoping the developers will do something similar to the Wii version, I'd love to play through again with additional characters. They should be able to, especially since Nintendo already has the payment option in place.
 
this download will add on achievements that some fix conflicts like dr doom conversing with dr doom and nightcrawler with nightcrawler choosing who lives or dies, make professor x talk to magneto for an achievement. hopefully this means there will be new missions and story too.
The release date as the trailer thats on marketplace now says
April 10th

Yeah, I agree. I think it's bullshit we have to keep paying for new things to be added to a game we already paid 50-60 dollars for.

I know it's optional, but how can you resist the call of the Incredible Hulk? Which, as Neyla already said, should have come with the damn game.

Bastards.
 
I don't see how that would prevent Epic(or any developer) from releasing things for free. It just means they can't put it up for download on Xbox Live.

And without being able to download it via the X-Box, how perchance would they get it to customers?

Gonna lol if the download pack comes up on PSN for free.

Are you really that dim? Download an installer, burn to disc, run on 360. Or just send the files directly to the 360's harddrive through LAN. Just.. wow. How could you have not thought that idea through?

It's obvious that the 360 has the capability of having things installed on it from a disc, or you wouldn't have support for FFXI.

that and every major update that comes out can be downloaded from xbox.com, burned and installed from disc on the 360

I'd thought of the burning idea, but I dont know if a 360 accepts burnt discs without modding. And I was under the impression that you could only transfer files via lan using microsoft applications (media player, ect)
Can you install off FlashDrives to 360?
