Xbox360 Mass Effect 2

I tried making a new file on ME1 yesterday, because someone deleted my file.. But I got bored after the getting off the ship at the start and put modern warfare 2 back in lol =(

Yeah I got rid of my first box, So i don't have my old file either. I played that game a lot, so everytime I try to restart it, I get bored.

Weird, because it's my favorite game on the 360, with Battlefield coming in a close 2nd, and for some reason I can't replay it. I'm always able to replay a final fantasy, but not ME. I'm pumped for two though!

It is hard to replay the game if you want to complete all of it, I would just say to run through the main story, which can be done in a few days easy just so you can record some of the decisions you made. Then you will atleast have the chance to decide if you want to start from scratch in ME2, or have some sense of feeling like your proceeding in a sequel.

On another note, I read on a GI article that there will be multile endings for the game, and one of them can end with Shepard dying. Thoughts on this? Wonder how that could play out into ME3

Fuck. Yes. Tali.

I was really disappointed when I heard that they were completely changing the squad around for the second game. This is the first I've heard that they were bringing Tali back, and I'm completely stoked because if there was *one* character I'd want to keep, it would be her. Aside from kicking Geth ass all over the place with AI hacking, I think she had the best commentary of the bunch (Wrex did have some great one-liners though).

My Shepherd is a Commando, so I'd always have Tali and Liara in my group. I guess it'll be Tali and the tatooed girl this time since she seems to be the only full-up biotic.

I wonder what they do story-wise with Liara and/or Ashley?

very good game so far, combat was redone quite a bit. cover is much more important and much easier to use. utilizing your squads abilities is much easier, seems to me that the targeting got a lot more forgiving. i found in ME1 whenever i tried to manually use something like warp it would always miss, but in this, it seems to lock on it's own to the current target, very cool.

no more armor is kind of boring, same with weapons for the most part but you can still get new armor to customize your appearance, and you can even pick your casual clothing. ammo types worked into your skill sets

health seems to restore similar to the call of duty games, you just find cover and it will regenerate, similar to the healing mods available to ME1 armor.

They added a fucking dash button and it's actually a decent speed! it's like a mini storm from the first game you can use any time!

machine pistols are sweet, the skill trees are a lot smaller tho. rocket launchers were added, pretty devastating.

it's a great game and a massive improvement on ME1, which is one of my fav games so this says a lot.

also, i noticed a big improvement in the graphics, my commander shepards ass looks especially good now

ps. tali's in my group :P

I think im the only one who wasnt a big fan of Tali, she was kind of annoying lol. I pretty much stuck with my Soldier Sheppard (Forgot what i picked for that second class), and always went with Ashley and Garrus. I dont think i ever used Tali, dont think ill use her now either

I like Tali quite a bit. Been running through Mass Effect with Tali and Wrex nearly non-stop. (the commentary between the two is enjoyable) Tali opens all those delicious crates/lockers/crashed probes, Wrex stand there, says hi and acts as a massive tank while I snipe them in the head.

Although I do know when to switch them out. Forgot how entertaining it is to watch a target get lifted into the air while I pound it with shotgun rounds.

Been exploiting the Mako for xp though. XP gained in the Mako is set at 50%, so I use the mega-guns to wear large targets down to 1% health, pop out and snipe it for full xp. Getting ~1000 xp for a Threasher Maw kill is fun.

Apparently though MA2 won't have unlimited ammo. I LIKED having unlimited ammo, one less thing to deal with during combat (although I do appreciate that they're bringing hit areas back (woo headshots)). It even fit in the way it was explained in the codex. (Although to be fair, the ammo mods don't make sense when the "bullet" is the size of a grain of sand.)

Soldier through and through though. Gimmie my guns!!

i was dead wrong, there is ammo and it sucks..

So, uh, huuuuhhh?

Uh well you don't like go out and buy new armor anymore. You can buy parts from shops and find them during missions and from there you can customize new armors but it's nothing like ME1 was. And by still get new armor, I mean you can find new parts and upgrade the appearance, IE change what your shoulders, legs, helmet etc look like, but it does not effect the stats of whatever you're using at the time.

I hope that made more sense.

Fuuuck you can't just load your old saves. I didn't beat ME1 again I got bored with it. Boo oh well.

glad i played me1 over again before i started up me2. seems everytime i turn a corner someone is popping out of the woodwork about something i did in me1.

Spoiler:
even people you dont remember, like that asari from the krogan base saren had (if you let her live), you run into her recruiting your krogan compainion.

This is am impressive improvement... I am kinda shocked.

I'm not! I knew Bioware would learn from their mistakes. After them making improvements with DA:O, I figured we might get to see some even better codex's, and quest system.

Did you see the upgrade system yet? I wasn't impressed with that. Hurray for spending hours scanning every nook and cranny of a planet for minerals. It gets very boring, very fast, but then again I suppose it's an improvement upon the previous game.

Currently dropping the discs on my 360 hdd, I heard there are epic loading screens in some part lol.

Edit: Doritos, checked; Chocolate bars, checked; Red Bulls, checked; Pizza, checked; Clean underwear, checked; Warn boss that I'm calling off until Thursday, checked; Unplug phone, checked; All systems are green and ready to go! First time in a while that I call off for a game. Last time it was for Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time :D! Let enjoy this space opera~

Amazon is shipping it to me and should be here soon for PC. I hope that they haven't moved too far towards full on shooter and eliminated some of the RPG aspects from the first.
